What?   Only 492,424 people cashed in on the last (2/5/2010) MM drawing. Only 2 tickets got the second prize and 268,321 got the Mega Ball only. One would think that with all the new players there would be more winners. What do you number crunchers think this means?   What?

It's the Ideal situation for the Lotteries: Sell more Tickets to more Players: Payout Less Money to fewer Winners!

Or then again it may be just Luck of the Draw! Thud

A mind once stretched by a new idea never returns to its original dimensions!

the winners look about right for the low jackpot it is

mm doing record "starting level" rolls,

thx to all the new players, so it all work out like raven62 said, its the best of both world for  lotto's

overall  whatever the mega ball is, you have about the same WINNERS on it, as quick packs even them numbers out for mega ball winners totals

and then you get the few lucky people who get 5 out 5, then 4 out 5, so forth,

the numbers look about right man, i dont see any thing low about these winners

      its a low level jackpot,

once we are into the 100m range or higher, then you see a ton of low level winners as their be a lot more tickets, A LOT more,

soon as PB is won, i think MM sales will pack up then, and the next mm draw you see a ton more winners

for now everyone forceing their money on pb, and pb  it self is showing insane signs of life,

i think these 2 games being sold in must all states will make a LOT more winners

but the low level jackpots always  have VERY small amounts  5 of 5 winners, just not that many tickets simple as that

According to lotto report website there were only 22,245,435 tickets sold, what would you expect?

I was one of the ones that cashed in so I can't complain (3 numbers for $28 with the megaplier on a QP).

1 out of 45 tickets won something, and the odds say 1 in 40 should win something. So it is off, but not by a whole lot. There's probably been plenty of "draswings" where better than 1 in 40 won something, so it'll all average out in the end.

That proves a player doesn't  have to play all 46 bonus numbers to win something, there's a good he'll win something just playing 45 lines.
