Hi folks.

I'm in Texas but want to play the Florida Pick 5.

Let's say I teamed up with a lottery partner in Florida.

I send my lottery partner 100 numbers to play and $100 through Paypal.

My lottery partner plays my 100 numbers with the $100 I sent.

If my numbers hit, I split the winnings with my lottery partner.

My lottery partner then sends my percentage of winnings back to me through Paypal, minus the necessary taxes my lottery partner is responsible for.

Is this legal?

Thanks, in advance.

BE JOYFUL ALWAYS, PRAY CONTINUALLY, AND GIVE THANKS IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES.

I don't believe that is legal. Plus, you can't use Paypal services for gambling purposes.

If this person is your "lottery partner" there should be a High level of trust.

So You send him the 100 through Western Union, it is his 100 dollars according to Western Union;  both of you know what the 100 is for.  You sent him the 100 numbers he plays the numbers.  When the number you sent  comes out! You fly down to Florida, you both go down to the lottery office, he smiles for the camara he tells everyone you are his best friend so he is sharing his winnings with you.

He gets the check which he deposits.  He cut you a check after all he  is "sharing the win with you"  to the world he is a "swell pal"  both of you are happy! End of story! How is that?

forget what "they" say about youWhat you say about you?...

        Now, does it count??

            Okay, Plan B.

How does a guy in Texas play the Pick 5 in Florida without actually going to Florida?

            Is there a (legal) way?

            Thanks again.

If you guys are partners, why do business with paypal?  Just send each other personal checks.  If your so call partner is running a business then he's not your partner and you are a customer.

Note: Ohio Rolling Cash5 (5/39) has jackpots as good as Florida Fantasy5 (5/36), maybe you might want to consider getting a partner in Ohio.Wink

Very simple, my dear watson.  You both form a Limited partnership in Florida with an address in Florida(legal). You then open a bank account in the name of the limited partnership(legal). you purchase the tickets using a cashiers check drawn on the limited partnership's bank account(legal).  You purchase a rubber stamp with the partnership's name and stamp the back of each ticket. When you win, you both are required to sign to recieve the check.

I'm waiting for PB to come to Ohio this summer and then I may consider joining a local one.  With the game being available in almost every state why would anyone be interested in joining one over the Internet?

                            Yes.

                            Texas has the Cash 5.

But, the jackpots are low compared to other states.

                              Is this legal?

                              Thanks, in advance.

You are in Tx and so long as you are in Tx you will not play the Florida pick 5, unless you first go there and buy numbers.

But your Florida friend can buy numbers and play the lottery there.

You send numbers and money to your friend, a check, money order or whatever should be O.K.

He buys the numbers, keeps the tickets on Florida (Does not send them back to you).

He wins and shares the winning money with you, sends you a check, money order or whatever.

If you all win the jackpot, if you want to, you can go to Florida, get the ticket from your friend, sign it or co-sign it and you or both of you go to claim the prize money.

But the ticket itself always stays on Florida and does not go out of that state.

I don't know the law,but it seems to be a very small lottery pool that you both got going on there.

And I myself don't see anything wrong with it.
