Starr?

I don't understand this,can you explain?

Why was the payout sooooo low...?

New Jersey does not have a set payout for winning.  Where most states offer $40 for a box, and $240 for a str8, NJ bases it's winning  payout on how many people play, and how many people win (pari- mutuel). The pool starts out at $275 for a str8, $45.50 for a 6-way box, and $91.50 for a 3-way box, and is adjusted based on the pari-mutuel formula.  While sometimes the payout could good, most times it's not at all.  Look at the difference in the payout on the midday number compared to the evening number today:

03/01/2010  Evening3 0 5197.0032.50
03/01/2010  Midday9 3 4321.0053.50

What's even more alarming is the payout of the P4.  Can you imagine just discovering you hit 1945 str8, you go to the website for the payout, and find THIS?!

01/25/2010Midday1 9 4 5932.5038.50
01/24/2010Evening8 1 2 63,208.50133.50

Thanks Calabs.I didn't understand it was that bad in New Jersey.

Is the New Jersey state Govt. so hard up for money that they would create a corrupt scheme such as this and not expect the populace to take notice?

I would not play pick 3 or pick 4 if I lived in your state...this is yet another form of Govt.corruption as far as I'm concerned..

Hey modae23....!! It's been a while!  Hope all is well with you. Please post as often as you can. Everyone's input is very valuable here...... you, and everone are always welcome here.  I'm not sure if you remember or was around then, but WAY back when, I used to run this thread even before Raven started. It's nice to see there is revitalized interest in the NJ thread!  Best of luck to you my friend!

                    Hi Guys,

                    I'm sticking with these:

                    317, 237, 903, 381, 125 & 765

I think they're good for both mid & eve, although I'll only be playing them in the eve.  I don't play midday anymore since NJ lottery decided not to televise the drawings but rather just display the numbers on the screen in a flash.  I had hoped they would see the error of their ways .... but oh well.

                      Hey Calabs,

Have you noticed that any P4 that starts with "19" pays ridiculously LOW?  Can it be that people play nothing but numbers that NJ Lottery assumes are the years dating back to 1900?  Heaven forbid you want to play your old granny's birthday ...

Carying some numbers over from February..... I posted this last week:

                        --------------------------------------------------------------------

There is a 97.6% chance that one of these numbers will show by Tuesday. If not, well, then back to the drawing board!

                        813 683 336 886 133 188

                        -------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, today is Tuesday....we'll see what happens! If they don't show, the % increases dramatically! LOL

Also don't forget the 765 and 517, as others also have. Still missing the digit 7, and v123 is due to show, which also opens up the door for 067 and 017.

Good luck today everyone, thanks for posting!

I pick my numbers from this stack... Good luck folks..

Looks like 293 is intrusive. But there are many more.
