Yijing and BaguaYijingYijing (Zhou Yi, the Book of Changes) is an ancient philosophy works in China for the improvement and survival of mankind and the nature. Yijing is composed of the Eight Diagram theory, Yin and Yang theory, the 5 Elements theory, and how to forecast based on these theories.
Zhou Yi was the origin of all philosophical thoughts, and all different researches should be included in it. As the root of Chinese traditional culture, Zhou Yi is given first priority by Taoism. In the tenor of the history, they are interactional each other. Louguantai is the most ancient temple where Taoism came into being. Chinese great thinker Lao Zi once gave classes to his disciples in this place. Today Louguantai has its own association of Yijing. There they can hold any kind of lectures about Yijing, Daodeijng, Fengshui, Divination and so on. The Eight Diagrams

The Eight Diagrams is consists of a black and a white fish-also called the yin and yang fish. The picture of the Eight Diagrams is an octagon formed of eight combinations of three whole or broken lines.
According to legend, the picture was created by Fuxi, an ancient Chinese sage. It is written in the ancient book Zhou Yi (The Book of Changes in Zhou Period) that "Changes originate in the Ultimate; from the Ultimate issue the two spheres, from the two spheres issue the four phases, and from the four phases the eight diagrams". That was the basic theory of the Ultimate giving rise to the eight diagrams. By the Ultimate, that

meant the origin of all things and creatures.
The eight diagrams symbolize the eight natural phenomena: sky, earth, thunder, wind, water, fire, mountain and lake. So the picture represented the ancient Chinese's earliest knowledge of the universe, which contained a simple dialectical materialist point of view.

Five ElementsThe Chinese notion best known to the West is that of yin and yang, opposite but coexisting principles forming the whole Universe. The words themselves originally meant respectively shady and sunny mountain slopes but in philosophical sense, they include wide range of opposing pairs - dark and light, wet and dry, female and male, weak and strong, dead and alive etc. By the way, the pair bad and good doesn't necessarily include in such pairing and doesn't directly oppose to each other. At about the same time that the notion of yin and yang started to include not only two mountain slopes but was being extended to include all beings, another principle that would have even greater implications for the Chinese worldview appeared.

For a long time the Chinese believed that the world was divided into four parts: Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Red Bird and Black Turtle; they are east, west, south, north; or spring, autumn, summer and winner. By the early 3rd century BC this idea had been transformed into a conception of five elements, and since those distant days this idea has governed people's minds in the Kingdom of Heaven. This transformation was very likely and originally achieved by the addition of the "center" as the fifth basic element. This is how conception of wu xing - five elements appeared.

Five Elements gradually changed into metal, water, wood, fire and earth. The five elements theory is over 1,000 years old. It began with the Chinese Naturalist school. The elements are considered as processes which are changing, or dynamic. These processes describe naturally occurring events. Water, for example, has the properties of downward motion and of wetting. Fire, on the other hand, exhibits the properties of heat and of the movement of rising, as flames in the air. The elements are both processes in themselves and form relationships with each other. These relationships can be interdependence relationships, creation relationships, and destructive relationships. An example of a destructive relationship would be that fire destroys wood. In addition to the natural world, the elements also represent and inform the theories of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Each of the internal organs is connected with one of the elements, and TCM medicines are classified according to their properties in terms of the five elements. Food is classified in this way, as well, in Chinese nutritional theory.

I can make one prediction with confidence:

xoso365 won't be giving us any numbers to play.

And certainly not any winning numbers.

To get the winning Mega numbers Marcie, same as you.

                              Let's light this candle now.

Maybe we'll be on TV claiming the jackpot together!

I'll have a jug out in the truck if you get nervous. And you can hide under my beard if you're camera shy.

Then we'll head for Rosie's house!

                              Cheers
