Todd, I have to disagree with you on this one. Granted you are the site owner, thus the "director", and it's your movie and we are the bit players, BUT, as I stated I put this in Discussions for exposure.
Some months ago I promised that I would give everyone a heads up when this pyramid came out again. Some people were waiting for it and not all of them visit mystical.
You moved this to Mystical at 3:25 pm your time, let's see where it is in a few hours as the daily millenia of dream requests come in.
I know you've said topics here don't get buried and if we think so we just don't know how to search, but that's not exacrly accurate. Most people visting a board click on new topics and that's about it. W'en topics get buried in such a forum those intersted will look for it but that's about as far as it goes. Studies about the intdernet have shown that only a small percentage of peole go past page one of a search and hardly any go past page two. Granted peolple here have different defaults on how many threads a page will show.
On any board replies to views ratio over 10% is not only exceptional but almost rare.
This Mystical Forum really either needs to be a parent forum or even better a Dream Reqeust child forum of a MFstical Forum. The Bahamiabns alone that we have on this board could provide a wealth of knowledge on these topics.
I'm sure I don't have 1/10th the 'puter knowledge you do, but as often as you improve this site and work on it I don't think that would be all that hard to do.
Just consider what percentage of this forum is dream requests. I'll give you a dollar for every non-dream request thread in this forum if you'll give me one for every dream request, how's that?
This is about the equivalent of going to a book of baseballl stats looking for player's averages and what have you and finding that most of it is a record of total attendances.
Just my $.02
This is in my blog for anyone who wants to refer to it.
Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.
There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.
