  Let's say you work out a set of numbers by whatever means and they hit a jackpot but someone with a QP shares the same jackpot.

  How would you best describe such a situation?

  PP = Player's Pick

  QP = Quick Pick

  Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any. So many systems, so many theories, so few jackpot winners. 

  

  There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

  The rules are anyone having all the winning numbers gets or shares the jackpot.  If the other winner had a problem with that then it's his/her problem, not mines.  I would be happy regardless because it would be the first time I had ever won or shared a lottery jackpot and I would owe it all to my system.

   * you don't need to buy every combination, just the winning ones *

  a wins a win, now if you worked hard and spent many  hours trialing testing and rechecking your numbers only to share with 1000 other players half of em qp's, now i might get a little shirty.

  Looks like a P5 got real big. Looks like there were many players. Based on the QP sales for that draw, the combinations for the odds and the likely hood two QP’s could be bought, does it add up?

  My only point is there should only be one QP winner per sale of all the combinations.

  If that is not the case then a limited pool of store QP’s are sold for the same draw. It is not unconceivable for multiple winners if the limited pool is sold several times for one draw and they hit.

  I am all for you winning but I honestly think you are throwing good money after bad. If the limited pool is sold and all the QP’s sold do not cover the spectrum of combinations, you are guaranteed to lose.

  Some of the same people who program the slots do the lottery equipment. We know that TN had a dbls fix switch in the equipment. Can you honestly say there is no limited QP pool switch to get the JP up fast?

  I've been reading all these threads about QP's and SP's just trying to decipher.

  So, correct me if I'm wrong (which is very possible), but do you mean to say that states and MM and PB all limit the combinations of QP sales??? They only try to sell certain combinations?

  I have looked at the sales of all the lottery games (except scratch offs) for Texas, and they never sell ALL of the combinations. For example, there are 25,827,165 combinations in the Lotto Texas game. When the jackpot was at an all time high of about 97 million, they were still only selling around 3.5 million tickets for each draw. That included QP's and SP's. Texas, by the way, does not have RNG, it is ball draws.
