Someone sent me a PM about an Excel Pick 3 One Up One Down File.

Well, here it is.

ftp://www.jadexcode.com/excel/pick3oneuponedown.xls

But, before you do the download, we need to go over something.

In a Pick 3 - One Up, One Down you are essentially trying to uniformly fit a 3x3x3 cube in a 10x10x10 cube.

Unfortunately, you can only get 27 - 3x3x3 cubes in.

There is a remainder that has to be dealt with and organized relative to the 3x3x3 cubes.

You end up with remainders of 27 - 3x3 squares, 9 - 3 lines and 1 point all relative to the 27 cubes.

Do the math (27 x 3 x 3 x 3) + (27 x 3 x 3) + (9 x 3) + 1 = 729 + 243 + 27 + 1 = 1000

Could you explain what to do after you enter the one up one down number? Thanks for the excel sheet.
