Now that PowerBall and MegaMillions have been won and reset, Ohio Classic Lotto jackpot is looking more attractive.

Yes, it does look very attractive, and I fully plan to win the jackpot tonight.

By the way, where did you get that cash value of $4.3 million? Shouldn't it be $4.6 million?

RJOh, I didn't know why Ohio had a Classic Lotto Jackpot. Does this mean they have to match all 6 numbers to win this jackpot? Do they draw 3 times a week as opposed to only twice a week by Powerball and Mega Millions?

You've obviously had read the Ohio lottery website and know that Classic Lotto is a 6/49 game played every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

Ohio had a local jackpot game before PowerBall and MegaMillions existed. At one time Ohio jackpot game was one the most popular games in the country and attracted players from all the neighboring states and payed out jackpots of $60-$80 M+. PowerBall was created to help smaller states compete with such games. Then BigGame (later changed to MegaMillions) was created to compete with PB. Like other states, Ohio added both MM and PB to keep Ohioans from going out of state to play them.

In spite of MM and PB large jackpots with large odds of winning, there is still a market for smaller jackpots with much better odds.

Nobody won the Ohio Classic Lotto tonight, so it's still the most $attractive of the three Ohio jackpot games.

Now that PB and MM are getting up there again, Classic Lotto doesn't look as $attractive. But at $10.3M on Monday, it will do if you can't wait until Tuesday or Wednesday to play MM or PB.

but I got a question, whats the "kicker" game? I noticed a few states have it but couldn't quite figure out what it paid/pays?

I'm during the same thing with 41 numbers in 18 lines and a line with my and my brother birthdays.

I'm cashing in my Saturday's PB 1+1 winner for $4 so I'm only going to be out $15.

Funny, winning $3 or $4 is a lot easier playing PowerBall than playing Classic Lotto, but I once matched 5of6 with SuperLotto so I just have to try the 6/49 game once in a while.

The kicker is a 6 digit game with numbers 0-9 in each position which you have to match 2 or more in order of draw from the first position to win and you can only play it once per ticket. It's also auto pick, you can't pick the numbers.

That 5of6 was a few years ago.

Well I done with Classic Lotto for a while, at least until next Monday. I picked two groups to play, one 19 lines and the other 20 lines. I played the 19 lines and won nothing and had I played the 20 lines I would had match 3 for $2. I noticed on the prediction board there were 150 predictions and no winners too so I guess that CL is hard to win. I also noticed there were about the same amount of predictions for RC5 which have overall odds of a win of 1:10 and there were no RC5 either. I'll be playing PB this Wednesday.

Now that its jackpot is at $11.0M, Classic Lotto should attract enough players to be won during the next drawings or two.

I noticed that 44/49 numbers have hit in the last 14 drawings and 47/49 in the last 19 drawings, it took 65 previous drawings to cover all 49 numbers. When looking at the history its 583 drawings 18% of the time all 6 winning numbers had hit 1-3 times in the previous 19 drawings and 21% of the time all 6 winning numbers had hit 1-3 times in the previous 14 drawings.

Since the game seldom gets a larger jackpot, I plan to play tonight. Assuming all 6 winnings numbers will be in both groups, I will be using the 35 numbers that are in both groups to pick 10 lines to play.

Last night CL winning numbers had the smallest range I've ever seen in the history of 6/49 games in Ohio including its SuperLotto game. Just when I thought I have a handle on picking some possible winning combinations, random tricks me again.

Since the jackpot has grown to $12M, I may give it another try Monday. Good luck if you're playing too.

Now that MegaMillions reset to $12M and Ohio Classic Lotto has grown to $12.6M, I going to give it another try. It usually get won before it reaches that amount.
