Until I win the jackpot, all my numbers are crappy.

Such as ending up getting a bunch of numbers that consists of 30s, and one 50ish number from a quick pick?

Sometimes I have to pick my own numbers off the powerball number sheet that i get from the gas station downtown.

Sometimes I like quick picks then there are times that I hate quick picks since I get a quick pick that goes something like that

    28, 32, 36, 28, 52 and then the powerball is a crappy number somewhere between 16 and the 20s

Do you mean like these winning numbers?

     11/03/10 - 34 38 39 45 50    +33
      09/08/10 - 10 35 39 51 57    +20
     08/14/10 - 09 33 36 50 58    +31
      06/26/10 - 13 30 32 38 57    +25
      06/19/10 - 09 30 31 50 54    +39
      05/12/10 - 37 51 52 53 58    +38
      12/26/09 - 32 36 37 41 53    +30
      11/18/09 - 32 42 50 58 59    +31
      07/15/09 - 26 50 51 52 57    +37
      07/01/09 - 09 32 38 52 53    +15
      01/07/09 - 23 31 33 38 52    +24

I seem to have my best luck with crappy numbers.

I pick good numbers and they lose. The computer gives me crappy numbers and I win, sometimes, or vice versa.

I'm actually not very good at gambling of any kind.

I once told my butcher that I'd bet him $50 that he couldn't reach the meat on the top shelf.

He said, "No, the steaks are too high."

The QP debate has been going on at the LP for 78 years now. The reason there are more QP winners is because more people play QPs than their own picks. It's easier for them to just tell the clerk to give them 5 QPs and they're on their way. That statistic is confirmed further by my own experiences on line at the store. I see it all the time.

It works in reverse just like the old and tired argument I keep having with a friend of mine about the safety of airline travel compared to fatal auto accidents. He keeps repeating what he hears in movies. My argument has always been that there are many more cars driving on the road, so the proprtions are way off. If there were millions of planes in the air instead of about 3,000, those airline crashes would be much higher. But as smart as he is, he just doesn't get it.

          You are correct Joker17

what is being ignored here obviously is : What percentage of numbers Played were QPs ?

if 1 out of 100 picks were PP and %20 of winners (1 out of 5 winners) were PP, then in fact PPs have performed better than QPs!

              Well,

If that Logic is difficult to understand for some people, then they should forget about math and stats, and just stick with their Luck!

Precisely, but try getting a consensus.

                No, don't.
