LANSING, Mich. — For the first time in Michigan Lottery history, two mega jackpot winners will collect their winnings at the same time Friday at Michigan Lottery headquarters in Lansing.
Most public interest will likely be centered on the winner of Saturday's $128.6 million Powerball drawing. That's because of the unique location where the winning ticket was purchased: an adult video and book store in Highland Park.
The location also includes a walk-up window for lottery ticket purchases, and the odds are good the winner will explain that was how the winning ticket was purchased.
The other big winner claiming their prize Friday bought a Mega Millions lottery ticket worth $141 million in the Oct. 29 drawing. The winning ticket was purchased at a convenience store in Gladstone, in the Upper Peninsula region.
