Went to the district office today to collect my $2,700. They have a promotion for a free cash 3/play 4 number selector keychain if you buy a 1-off Cash 3 ticket. I never buy 1-off tickets but I bought one just to get the keychain.

When I won $1000 on the Monopoly ticket last month. The promotion was buy $20 of Miami Dolphin scratch-off tickets you get a free Miami Dolphins hat or t-shirt. So I both 4 tickets and got the shirt, won $20.00 bought 4 more and got the hat and won back my $20.00. So I got back the original $20.00,the hat, the shirt. and a check for $1000. FYI, the office is closed tomorrow.

was that a box hit for 2,700 dollars.. ?  how much in taxes did you have to pay... I'm very Happy for you . you  are Blessed....   Thanks GregoryBlue Angel

Box hits are only 200  bucks, unless it's a double, then it's 400 bucks I believe.

I believe she played 5152 straight/bx 50/50....2,500 for the sraightt 50 cents, and 200 for the box 50 cents. The double box pays 400 for a dollar bet. If it's a triple, it even pays more.

                  It's still taxable income.

Hey Win$500Quick once again congrats on your win. Cheers

Did you get a form W-2G.I think they do this for any winnings over $600.

Also I think they give you an option if you want taxes taken out right there or not. Don't throw away losing tickets as all those are tax deductible. Talk to your accountant.

Now if you win a big Jackpot like the F5, MM or Lotto, then there is no option, Uncle Sam gets his piece right there on the spot. LOL

Congrats once again and many winnings Thumbs Up

                    Keep moving Forward.

Yes, I got a W-2G form. I have all my losing tickets to claim against the winnings.

When I went out to cash my $30,000 ticket, they said they only tax $601 & up.   They took the highest bracket tax cut & then gave me a check. The next year, I had to file my winnings & got $5,000 back because I wasn't working that year, lol.
