With me being a parent, I can only imagine the pain and heartache that Xena's parents are going through right now. Watching your child get sick, being given the diagnosis and watching with a sense of helplessness as slowly day by day she got sicker.
My prayer today is that God will strengthen the family of Xena. A beautiful little girl she was indeed. Quiet, well mannered and soft spoken. I remember back in 2009 when I didn't go to the Regatta site on the first day. When I arrived on the second day, she was waiting for me and she said to me, I looked for you yesterday and I thought you weren't coming, but I'm so glad that you came! It was those words from little Xena that made me realize just how much the children appreciated and looked forward to me being there. I am grateful that God afforded me the opportunity to meet such a lovely little girl.
So, now that God has called this beautiful little angel home, may her soul rest in peace. May her family and friends be comforted with the memories that she left behind and in the knowledge that God does all things well. My heart is heavy right now, so like I said I can only imagine what the family is going through.
My deepest sympathy to you Needachange23 and tailfish. May God provide solace and closure to you in this your hour of bereavement.
"Does Jesus care when my heart is pained, too deeply for nirth or song,
As the burdens press and the cares distress and the way grows weary and long?
Oh yes He cares, I know He cares, His heart is touched with my grief,
When the days are weary, the long nights dreary, I know my Saviour cares."
We gat haterz everywhere we go. No longer do I cry when fake friends say, "Goodbye!"
