The Dependable Lottery SystemPrev TopicNext Topic
-
There is not a dependable lottery system at this point, or if there is no one has shared it as of yet. The purpose of this thread is to develop that dependable lottery system. What do we mean by the dependable lottery system? The dependable lottery system should have the following truths about it. In a five number game like Mega or Powerball -- A selection of 15 numbers should match at least four of the winning numbers drawn. In a six number game, like Win for Life or Lotto a selection of 18 numbers should match at least four of the winning numbers drawn.
I propose, that the members of this website should share our information and statistics and thoughts to try to develop a dependable lottery system. I hope people will join in in this discussion. Will we be able to develop a dependable lottery system? That is unknown, but if a large group of us work together sharing our information and data it is possible that we could develop such a system.
I have read several books claiming to give such systems but as of yet nothing has really panned out. Many of us already know the standard rules of any lottery system. But in case you do not; I wish to make sure we all start on the same page. Here is a list of some of the standard rules. (Please feel free to add to these standard Rules)
1) Selected numbers should never be all Even or all odd.
2) Selected numbers should not all be Sequential. (1,2,3,4,5,6)
3) Selected numbers should never have more than four numbers ending in the same digit (for example 1, 11, 21, 31, 41, 51, or 2, 12, 22, 32, 42, 52, etc.)
4) Selected numbers should have never have more than four numbers in a series; such as the 10 series the 20, series the 30 … (10, 12, 14, 16 -- 21,22 25,29 etc.)
5) Selected Numbers should never have more than four numbers same grouping; (such as 10,20,30,40,50… (The tens), or 3,6,9,12,15,18 (the threes) or 5,10,15,20,25,30, (the fives) or 7,14,21,28,35,42 (the sevens). A possible easier way to say this ensures the numbers are not all divisible by 3, 4, 5, 6, 7….
These standard rules apply at the selected draw line numbers. So in Mega or PowerBall youdo notwant your select draw line to look like this:
01-02-03-04-05
05-10-15-20-25
02-04-06-08-10
03-11-19-25-31
Are these standard rules “hard and fast” – No they are not; there have been times where the winning draw numbers were “All Even” or “All Odd” or “All in a series” . But as a general rule; the vast majority of the time, these “rules” apply.
-
Since I started this thread; it is only fair that I share some of the statistics I have developed to get to this dependable system. I use the Virginia Win For Life Game. The Facts for the Win for Life Game are these: The Lottery will draw six (6) numbers from a pool of forty-two (42) and one (1) "Free Ball" from the remaining thirty-six (36) numbers for a total of seven (7) numbers. Win For Life is a multi-state lottery game. States whose lotteries sell Win For Life are Virginia, Georgia and Kentucky. Since, all seven numbers drawn come from the same pool of numbers; I thought it might be easier to do the tracking and comparing. My results have been mixed; sometimes I do very well and have multiple four and five line matches (a line match means one of my select draw lines matches the actual winning line draw) so when I say a four line match – I mean my selected draw line matches four of the numbers in the actual draw line. Example shown below:
Actual Draw: 3/19/2011 2,24,33,37,39,42 Free Ball = 20
My Draw Line: 02-24-29-33-36-42 -- so in this case I matched four numbers
No, I have not “won” (have all six numbers) as of yet – But I am hopeful. While I am hopeful; my results are not great. Some drawings, I only manage three matches or less.
The system, I have developed revolves around the “Out” numbers. “Outs” simply is my way of saying how long since a number was last drawn. Another term I use is “NDX” numbers (which is short form for Index Numbers). What I do is order the numbers from largest “Out” to Smallest “Out”. If several numbers share the same “Out” number – I sort the number numerical (like 5,16,21). After each draw, I chart the numbers. Below is the current Chart for Win For Life:

Based on the above chart The number “21” is in position “NDX 0” since it has been “out” for 21 games
Number “22” is in position “NDX 10” Number “29” is in position “NDX 11” and Number “30” is in position “NDX 12” (since they share the same “out” number of “5”
My normal way of playing these numbers is by CHART and by NDX. I will describe by “NDX” later; for now when I say by chart – I mean I get the following lines:
21-26-25-41-04-02
15-11-38-01-14-20 (you get the idea)

I use the colors to help me read through the chart.
The dark bright Red are the “drawn Numbers” and the Yellow is the “Bonus 7th Number”
For Game 463 – I had two match three lines – using the chart method
For Game 492 – I had one match four line – using the chart method
But the VAST majority of the Games using the Chart Method look like this……

In other words no matches at all (or no three or more matches)
-
The next method I developed is what I call the NDX method (or Index Method).
I discovered in the Win For Life Game; some Indexes are chosen more often than others. I placed those indexes in a grid from the most select indexes to the least select indexes. That grid looks like this at this time.

I then replace the index values with the current numbers at that index position. For the next WIN For Life Game that looks like this

Then the select draw numbers become
10-08-31-28-32-09
23-34-37-39-14-40 and so forth
This has helped with my “win results” – but it too has not be consistent

I am working on a system based upon the NDX method of creating a NDX grid with those indexes most selected together. But have not really developed it yet – so have no results to show.
So there you have – what I have been working on and the results I have achieved.
Feel free to add your own theories, statistics and results.
Maybe – together we can develop a system that is dependable.

I was asked about the Chart Method and NDX Method for Mega Millions....
So decided to supply these as well. But warning I have not verified these with past results....

Bad New Gang:
I took the NDX Grid, developed for Mega and verified it against all the past drawings (up to 6/24/2005 which was last change). There were no five number line matches. There were two -- four number line matches. There were around twenty -- three number line matches.
Basically what I am saying is that this grid does not come up with a good system.
I will work on the grid and check it again to see if I come up with anything….
Anyone else, want to add any thoughts on a possible system?

Here are 15 numbers (shown as NDX Grid and Number Grid)
I plan to play these….

Hi,
You may want to take a second look at out numbers. Typical distributions usually have two out numbers. Yes, sometimes only one, sometimes three, more rarely 4, and next to never for 5 out numbers.
In general, if you can track postionally with the preferred filters of choice, you are less apt to eleiminate the winning numbers or combination.
Just one persons opinion. *S*
You are a slave to the choices you have made. jk

What did you expect? Matching 5 or better with MegaMillions is probably a once in a life time experience or at least once in 3,904,701 plays experiences if you believe what's on the back of its play slips. If using a grid or any other means could reduce the chances of that happening within 600 combinations, someone would have probably done it by now.
* you don't need to buy every combination, just the winning ones *
-
Granted the five match is/would be rare ....
My main concern was that the four and three line matches were rare as well (2 and 20 -- out of 500 plus draws) is too rare.
You have any suggestions of "gridding the numbers or indexes"?

Could you clarify your thought here.... Not sure I follow.
Thanks
