What dance did you do in '65 tigger?

Great, Great song to dance to and danced to it when I was younger but I think I can still bust a move to it. Thanks. AL.Banana

I'll definitely bust a move if I hit it Friday.

    I just hope I don't bust a hip too.

Does "The Charleston" ring a bell?

Wow JAP, I respect your resolve. I don't think I could do that.

I know it's a long shot but somebody has to get lucky eventually and I just want to be in that crowd when the lightning picks someone out.

I'll buy my tickets, go to work, smile and play nice, tell 50 different people where the bread aisle is , because in a store with 5 aisles it can get confusing, explain to 50 other people why I have no control over the price of food, share some laughs with co-workers , come home check my tickets, and discover

                        Not even one.

You're a smart one. The odds are rediculous. The ocean analogy was perfect.

I have a friend who thinks he's gonna win the Powerball. I even gave him the 65 bags of sand example but he simply doesn't get it. He can't beat the p-3 on a regular basis, and it's only 1,000 to 1. the funny part is, (and I always tease him on this) he always tells me that he's done with the p-3 and will only play the p-4 cause the p-3 just ain't worth the bother anymore. of course he starts playing it a week later...lol......But this only confirms to me he lacks simple logic.

He won't play the p-3 because it's not worth it, but he'll play the p-4 which is 10 times harder, and the 65 bags of sand which equal about 195 million grains of sand (Powerball odds), doesn't phase him, so i came to the conclusion that desperation can possibly make someone lose all sense of basic logic. Now...if hea had some ESP abilities, i would be wrong, but he's not the type. He does have hunches with the p-4 that are pretty close at times, but he spends much more than he wins.

I do buy one ticket, but not often at all. maybe once every month if that much.

You have to first crawl before you walk, so If someone can't beat the p-3, how the heck are they ever going to beat 100,000,000 plus JPs?....lol

The odds are the reality, not when you see a news story of someone winning and saying....."SEE SOMEONE WINS MOST OF THE TIME, THEN IT COULD BE ME". it's an illusion. For every winner there are hundreds of millions of losing tickets.

In Florida, the lightning capital of the world, it takes about 7 million to one to get struck by lightning, give or take a couple of million depending on where you are. If i can't beat 7 million to one, and i hope I never do, imagine expecting to beat 195 million or 130 million or whatever million? Maybe it's a good thing the odds are against us from winning the lottery. It's a blessing in disguise....lol?

                            Here's how I see it.

If you buy a ticket, you're almost certainly not going to be a winner.

If you don't buy a ticket you're definitely not going to be a winner.

It's worth a buck or two or ten to me to be in that first group that has almost no chance of winning.

Why? Cuz I can dream and I think it's fun.
