Gap Strategy - Revised play worksheet procedures, Part 1
Two members of the Gap Strategy team raised some questions regarding the manner
in which the data streams are used to choose numbers to play.
To make a long story short, an investigation revealed the questions
had merit and that the selection method needed to be changed.
Two Texas Pick 3 players did some back testing and said that two of their losses would
have been winners had they used the new method for selecting numbers.
Although I've been busy converting my regular lottery games, mainly Powerball
and MegaMillions to the new Fixed PID sequence, I have played Pick 3
a few times.
My back tests showed that the revised method would have changed one Pick 3
loss to a win.
I back tested my choices for the April 6 Powerball drawing and learned
that I would have had at least a 1+1 win using the new method.
I my choices for Powerball structure 'BDF' were 10.12.19.
The winning numbers and structure are: 10.18.41.55.56 + 15 = BEF+B
There's no way to know for sure if my three choices for the 'F' group.
'53.58.59' would have been different using the revised selection
method. The tracking data is too close to call.
I correctly chose '15' as the Powerball using other methods.
Therefore, for the benefit of LP members who are using or contemplating
using Gap Strategy to aid their lottery number selection guesswork,
the previously posted 'Playing Worksheet' is no longer in effect.
I suggest that all printouts of the prior selection method be discarded.
I'm not going to get into the 'nitty gritty' and try to explain the reasons why the change is being
made. A majority of the current (informal) membership contributed to the discussion via email,
phone calls and in person.
They agreed that the new method could result in better choices and more wins.
A revised 'Playing Worksheet' and details regarding the selection method will be posted shortly.
Stay tuned.
