If you've signed up for email alerts for winning numbers that are sent the following morning after a drawing, be sure to check the date of the drawing on the email. This morning I recieved my winning number email for Mega Millions which had last Tuesday's 5/3 winning numbers instead of Friday's 5/6 numbers. This has happened before that I've noticed...last time it was for Super Lotto. The best way is to just check the winning numbers on their website.

If you had access to their website or even that of USAMega which has the winning numbers within minutes of the drawing, why would you request they send you an e-mail with the winning numbers?

When I registered, there was a checkbox for email alerts...But the main point is if they're going to provide the service, they should send out the correct numbers.

Yeah, I signed up with VA a long time ago and it was the same thing. They sent the winning numbers alright. It's just that they were a week late. Then when I cancelled the service, they just kept on sending the numbers anyway. I cancelled them 4 or 5 times and to this day they're still sending them. And still about a week late.

The only difference is they go directly to the spam file now.

I signed up for this too when I registered a long time ago.

Then I got the first few emails... at 7:00AM the folowing morning after the draw. Are you KIDDING ME? That's the best they can do is 7AM the next day to send these out? I quickly unsubscribed from the service. I'd complain but I do enough complaining to them already.

For Mega Millions, USAMega is the best and quickest results, just a few minutes after 8PM. This is especially useful since they recently cancelled the live TV results on KCAL9 here in the southland, and the calottery site can be delayed 15-30 minutes or more in displaying Mega Millions results.

For Super Lotto Plus, the calottery website is still the quickest, but is delayed by about 10-15 minutes after 8PM. The other daily games come out about 5-10 minutes after 7PM. Strangely the daily 3 midday results come out 15 minutes before 1:30PM draw most the time.

Not sure if any state lotto has a more useful email results system. Might be better if they had one email with all the results at the end of the day instead of just jackpot games. But maybe better than email is a quick mobile website display showing all results on one page. For that, Lotterypost beats calottery for a quick mobile display, albeit not all on one page, and picks up all the results immediately after calottery does.

Strange, I signed up with VA and they only gave me a physical and a VA benefit card. I never got any numbers from them.

Maybe it was because I was a peace time Veteran.

If I were you, I'd ask for the VA manager at your branch and demand not to have the numbers sent to you.

I never knew the VA sent out Pick-3 numbers to Veterans. How come no one ever told me? Why are they in the lottery business to begin with?
