This may seem petty, but I always play 1111 on the S.C. Education Lottery every drawing every day. A couple of days ago I went to buy it and it was sold out.
I have run into this before on the pick 3 drawing in this state, and after calling the lottery office in Columbia, S.C. they informed me it was 7000 of a number straight for a dollar which would total 3.5 million dollars on the pick 3. Based on this information I had I figured that there could only bee 700 of a number sold on the pick 4 straight since it pays ten times more than the pick 3. I called Columbia once again and I was correct. We all know the lottery is about making money, but isnt it stupid to limit their maximum payout to 3.5 million and limiting the total number of tickets that can be sold for any one number on the pick 4 to 700. I mean South Carolina isnt the biggest state by any means, but think of the money the lottery is losing by limitting the number of tickets sold.
On a side note we all know why the 1111 is sold out, because of friday 11/11/11.I would like to know of your opinions on the state limiting the amount of tickets that can be sold for a certain number.
Also I have been away for quite a while but I LOVE this site. I feel at home here.
