Really? That surprises me. They're both short stories written 100+ years ago.
If you google "Monkey's Paw" you should be able to find the story written by W. W. Jacobs. It's about a couple who obtain a mumified monkey's paw that's been spelled to grant three people three wishes each, but the moral of the story is nothing comes without its price. Right there with genie-granted wishes (almost always granted with a twist) and Stephen King's "Pet Cemetary" (be careful in exactly what you wish for - or maybe some wishes shouldn't be wished for).
The "Tell-Tale Heart" was a short-story, written by Edgar Allen Poe, about a man who commits murder, and then his guilt drives him insane. It was made into a movie (old movie) starring Vincent Price.
Oh my gosh those two stories sound so cool! I want the books of them, I love books, I will go to my fav book store soon ( I plan on buying Christmas gifts there anyhow) and I will see if they have these two books. And I love old stories, old movies etc. And I like Vincent Price!!! May he rest in peace. Gee I wonder if I read those books as a kid and have forgotten, <snip> my years of smoking pot as a teen!!!!
I never read nor saw Pet Cemetary. I never really got into Stephen King's books, but it's ironic since I think The Shining is the best horror movie I ever saw, now I read he did not like Stanley Kubrick's version so he directed his own, is he insane? That movie was stellar! Kubrick was a true genius, may he too rest in peace! But who would tamper with perfection? That movie was just too cool and unique and scary. If I win the big lottery I plan on buying every film Mr Kubrick directed and I will have a huge flatscreen plasma screen tv to enjoy them on.
