I am sick of waiting my turn. That's all that I can say.

a very small percentage win the jp. expecting to win with such small odds is destructive to your inner being. that's reality. the lottery doesn't owe anyone anything. just because you feel you've put in your time, will be NO guarantee for a jp. this isn't a 401k plan. gambling is rife with risks. only you have the choice, no one is pointing a gun at you.

play with the risk, or be conservative and save every penny, the choice is yours.

Sitting around waiting for your turn isn't how it works, you have to buy a ticket with winning numbers for a particular game when those numbers come up.  Chances are you will buy a lot of tickets with numbers that never come up before you ever buy one with the right numbers for the right game at the right time.

       * you don't need to buy more tickets, just buy a winning ticket *

Thanks everyone. I don't have numbers I play so that's not it, I'm going to just start using number generators here for a bit instead of getting the QP numbers at the store. I think the main problem is just dealing with other issues going on in my life right now which isn't really bringing any positive thoughts. Anyways, I've been having a headache so I'm gonna take some medicine and lay down.

The benefits and pitfalls of group play have been well discussed in many other threads and many players have decided they don't want to deal with them.

I haven't been able to get the motivation to pick up tickets for each draw so I'm lucky to get one play in a week and on top of that I just haven't been feeling like I'll get anything (haven't even won $1 in about 1 1/2 months). What's some stuff y'all do to get back into the game, or do you just wait until the feeling comes back to you?

I think I'm going to try and get out early tomorrow with generated numbers from the sites tool and see if I can't get some good thoughts by watching some Lottery Changed My Life episodes I have downloaded.

SAVE YOUR MONEY AND AVOID ANY KIND OF GAMBLING.

PLAYING THE LOTTERY MORE OFTEN FOR MORE LINES= SPENDING MORE MONEY= GAMBLING ADDICTION.

"For all gamblers, even small-time bettors, gambling at the very least correlates with feelings such as irritation, frustration and aggravation then can worsen to agony, depression, violence and suicide. Gamblers may not always admit experiencing these feelings. However, gamblers definitely do experience these feelings. Even small-time $1 a week lottery players get irritated, frustrated and aggravated when always losing. Rarely though do gamblers only bet $1 a week even if saying that. When gamblers who say they only ever bet $1 a week, see a super jackpot getting big and bet $5, $10, $20 or more on it, then they are not $1 a week gamblers any longer. Gambling always means losing money. Usually losing more money than intended. The bottom line is that losing money and feeling all of these negative emotions is not fun, recreational or entertaining."

"Every so-called moderate gambler has a gambling problem. Suppose that you are considered to be a moderate gambler. A moderate gambler will occasionally lose for example $5 at a time. So the gambling industry basically "grabs" $5 at a time from you. You would remember this for a lifetime if a thief grabbed a $5 bill out of your hand and ran away with it. What about a gambling industry "thief" who grabs $5 each time from you for a super jackpot lottery drawing? The odds are that you will never hit a super jackpot even if living many thousands of lifetimes. How about grabbing $5 a race at the horse racetrack? How about grabbing $5 a hand at blackjack? How about grabbing $5 for a few slot machine pulls? How about grabbing $5 per stock trade? How about grabbing $5 from you at other gambling activities? That occasional $5 multiplied by countless occasional times, adds up to a lot of money over the months and years. Anyone who is grabbing your money like this is a problem that must be eliminated. But the gambling industry does not want you to think this way. The gambling industry wants you to think that each occasional $5 lost gambling is fun, recreational and entertaining. The gambling industry spends millions of dollars on advertising and public relations to keep their so-called moderate gambling customers foolish and ignorant about gambling."

its good ot have you here thrifty, it really is. its always good to hear the opposite of what you believe or think. i imagine you dont have many friends on here it being a gambling enthusiast site after all. yea sure when ever we  dont win its lost money.

but there is the hope and the dream, $1 and a dream, $5 and a dream . if you look at my sig, ive spent $5 a day on gambling. since the start of the year. its actually that someone said i should keep track of all my beting that i  started that. i think knowing how much i spend is making me more miserable than when i didnt, but then ive stopped smoking, so the spare money had to go somewhere.

i guess know how much i spend and seeing its a problem, is 1st step to fixing it. but then i  dont hav a prob with the spending, its the losing that i dont like.

Well  Mr Thrifty my good fellow....everyday life is a gamble...Good things happen and not -so-good things happen. To concentrate solely on the negative aspect of not winning is a choice. Its not coerced or mandated, its a simple choice of made on behalf of the individual player. As far as the "$5 at a time grab" ???   wellllllllll, that happens every few weeks at the gas pumps or in some silly government regulation or  something I have no control control over. Spending $5 on a potential windfall or making yourself feel good is a positive idea that I made a choice to do. Knowing ones spending limit is also a personal choice. If someone else wins ???  That just means it wasnt my turn.... YET. Having positive thoughts about all the things you could do (with a small or large jackpot) the people you would help by sharing, the places you might go to, things you might purchase and the good things that can happen, certainly outweighs the the negative thoughts of not winning. I certainly know that proceeds out of non winning tickets goes to the education trust fund here in Florida. Thats a great thing dont you think ?   Be positive, think good thoughts ....Wanna know why ?  Cause tomorrow, somone in someplace is going to win and it could be one of us !!!!   Sun Smiley
