Lotteries are not rigged...when people aren't winning they always start off by saying this. This thread may be of some interest to you about per capita sales.

http://www.lotterypost.com/thread/229638?q=per+capita

I believe you are in Wisconsin and from what I found on the internet your per capita sales are less than $100 a year so when you have state's where people are playing WAY more isn't it obvious they have better chances to win then a state that plays less? Just my opinion.

I Agree!

Wisconsin spent $834,378 in the last drawing and NY spent $2,726,470. New York doesn't win every jackpot but they are outspending Wisconsin by 3 to 1.

      Mytriplecrown,

Well since you won't do your own search - BIG SURPRISE- and would rather cling to your opinion than back it up with any facts, here:

      http://www.lotterypost.com/search?q=Fond+du+Lac

How would you like it if people pounced, "Why is it always ******* cheeseheads winning the jackpots?"

If you really believe the games are rigged, why do you play?

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

      Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

Shouldn't hold it against the ones of us who were lucky enough to be born in the south. And just because most of us would eat anything not moving around on our plate, and some of us would eat the moving stuff too, don't make us dummies.

You people are spending more money because 1) you got more money and, 2) you got a disportionate share of dummies who think they will win. And this all leads to 3).

You got more losers up there too!  Big Smile

Yeah everything is totally "rigged" Mytriplecrown. No problem however just relocate to NY, or have a friend pick you up a few QP's

while in the area, and you'll probably hit the big- time!   Banana

Apparently they have got those lotto balls programmed to jump out at just the precise moment from micro-transmitters.

Rumor is that they have some whiz kid good at video games, joy sticking the balls around from some remote location.   Coffee

Apparently their is a "conspiracy" for only rich white folk, from NY, RI and CT to win.    Bandit   Blush

            Good Luck Mytriplecrown!    Lep

You know, when the jackpot breaches a threshold, sometimes I wonder if rich white people from NY, CT, or RI buy all possible lottery combinations to ensure they retain that exclusivity.  Evil Smile

Referring to the Powerball being rigged ??  Lets take a look n seeee shall we.......Well, over the last 36 months what state has won the most number of  jackpot winners?   That would be :    FLORIDA :  4 for a total of  $506 Million (we started playing Powerball in JAN 2009)
How many were in NEW YORK :  4 for a total of 443 Million
Moving onto RHODE ISLAND :  1 for a total of $336 Million
Last but not least  Connecticut: 2 for a total of $279 Million

Largest  single winner in the last 36 months did come from Rhode Island for $336 Million...kudos on that point
next largest winner..........................................................................  Mr. Solomon Jackson from S. Carolina $259.9 Million on 08/29/2009
next after that was..........................................................................  Mr. Chris Shaw from Missouri with $258.5 Million on 04/21/2010

                      * Above information was gathered from the Powerball Winners section

***Since 2009 Indiana has had 3 winners for a total of $458 million leads NEW York or R.I or Connecticut in total dollars won.

I can not conclude the Powerball is rigged for 3 states based on the above information.  Simply put, someone wins and most lose..its a game of chance !!

75% times head isn't wrong for 1000 coin flips!

We consider around 50% for likely because p(coin_side)=0.5 !

This way it could be that all winners come from just one state of the USA!

                          Unlikely doesn't mean rigged!

                            SergeM,

If you want to  flip a coin 1000 times and bet heads 750 of them there are plenty of people who will book your action.

Stick around here for a while and you'll realize that when threads such as this one go up what the person who started it is really saying is:

IT'S NOT FAIR, SOMEBODY WON THE JACKPOT AND IT WASN'T ME!

So in the sense of having to have something to blame it on it's always, "How come it was in _ _ _ _ _ (fill in the state) and never where I live?

If sinners did start coming from one and only one state in the USA do you really think peopel in the other states would keep playing?

                              Mytriplecrown:

I share your same concerns (and suspicions). For example, look at all those major Mega Millions and Power Ball large Jackpots over the last 7 years (Docents of jackpots from 258 – 390 millions each); these jackpots were won by, mostly, a single ticket. Well that is very unusual, when a little research reveals that such games (specifically Power Ball in this case) takes an estimate annual sales in excess of $20,000,000,000 (yes! 100 Billions).

In RSTech.us home page you can read a lot of more information, and their interpretation about this.
