I often wonder why some threads get so much more traffic than others.

Is there a word you see that peaks your interest?

What is that "word" or "words"?

Above I've listed some choices but there must be tons more that make your finger itchy to click.

Please tell us.... Thanks!

None of the above.

The posters handle gets my attention.

Certain posters, the old timers, and those who post about ways to track patterns, and new ideas that simplify the process are getting to be the only threads I respond too. I look at almost anything posted.

Discussions of specific software: turnoff.

Questions about best software: turnoff.

All software requires user input and knowledge of the specific game. It may help you make the right decisions but none spit out the winning combination at the touch of a button. And much of it is bloated, leading to an endless search. Sometimes it only complicates the process.

Big red flag on commerical software is when you see questions if anyone uses it or how to use it or what certain options do. Questions here about specific commercial software screams poor/incomplete documentation or poorly maintained, or even useless software.

Arguments on odds and math or different ways to calculate those: turnoff.

We can argue odds and how they are calculated forever and all day and that won't help anyone win. And has not stopped anyone from winning.

Anyone here to wants to "open eyes" or "caution" or "expose a lie or tell a truth:" turnoff.

The only truth: There is going to be a drawing and you want to win.

Posts with tips and tricks from posters like you, RL, winsum, Win D, etc.....always welcome.

i picked money,1 thread i put up used the "$" got over 7000 veiws.

CreAmThe LoTTo, put up one that used the word "cash" and got over 12000 veiws.

still its hard to beat "winning" as in, "post your winning tix. here" w/ over 1/4 mil. veiws.

study the 48 hour pg. and note the # of veiws,the see which words draw the most attention.

Some polls, if they look interesting.

It's kind of sad that some discussions that could be interesting get ignored while the most outlandish proposed 'system' will get innudated.

There's a rule of thumb on discussion boards with replies to views ratio, 10% is considered pretty good, and most threads don't come close.

Personally, I think dream requests are maddening.......for one thing, duplicate thread titles of "Dream request" or "Dream Number request", and "Dream help" are a bit much at this point because people could just type in the word or dream they are looking for in the Search feature and probably get a hit. Heck, I've done it by accident, trying to remember a word in other threads and the Search produces many hits in Mystical, in dream threads. Try it, see what happens.

The number of threads in each Forum category speaks volumes. When I first came to LP I thought it was odd that there were so many more Mystical thread thsn Mathematics threads, but if you strip the dream requests out of mystical they might be a lot closer. Currently there are 775 threads in Math and 20,116 in Mystical.

I admin on another board and this is kind of interesting, on Christian boards (and prboably other religions boards, too) early in the morning almost 100% of the new threads are prayer requests.

Here on LP early in the morning almost all the new threads are Pick 3, unless there's a real hot topic going in another forum.

Good topic lottolaughs, well done.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any. So many systems, so many theories, so few jackpot winners.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

I would have to say system would grab my attention the most and hot numbers the least. It seems everyone has "hot" numbers, but where are they hot? What may be hot in one state may be ice cold in another, so I don't put much credence in the good for all states posts / predictions.

Now,if some one posts about a system or a way to pick numbers I will read it, especially from one of the older members who have all the experience and are willing to pass some of that on. But I do not discount the newer members either. Just because they may be new to LP doesn't mean they are new to the lottery. We were all new at one time and had many questions and soon we will be the old timers.

Anyone new or old may say something or provide information at any time that you never thought of before, which may help in your strategies or methods of picking numbers.

As far as systems go, I have found that whatever system you use, you have to be willing to switch around. Systems get hot and cold and you need to be able to recognize when it happens and make the adjustments, or try something different from time to time. I think my signature pretty much describes my views on methods of playing.

List Pick 3 singles by low sums, high sums. Separate each sum row by consecutive pair and non consecutive pair combos. These 3 pair groups. 14 17 47, 25 28 58, 36 39 69 are in 63 combos. 54 combos do not have them. Which sums do the 3 pair groups appear and not appear? Look at root sum groups 147, 258, 369. Play accordingly.

My favorite word is "Cracked" This one always gets my attention because I enjoy a good laugh.

The only crack in these post is the big divide between hope and reality.

Key word... poll - my opinion will count in some way (toward some total of some line item) rather than just posting opinion (which will be everything after my vote in the poll)

Key word... conspiracy - what a fun word, and normally y'all have a BLAST taking them down, taking them out, stoking the fires, love it!

Key word... underground - gives sense of bunkers, add that to conspiracy and guns and you have the tri-fecta!
