First thing I'd get is a new house and car. I'd invest in gold, silver and platinum. Then I'd make the rest last as long as possible and live off of it.

What would you get/do?

I am sorry, but how many similar thread did we have?

Anyway, MM is now $241 millions. If I win, I will get around $128 millions after everything, since I live in CA. Maybe I will buy a nice house in a gated community in Beverly Hills. And I will buy a lot of income properties and invest in income-generating investments. I guess I will buy a Sienna and a Prius V. I would never, ever buy an impractical white elephant like Bentley or Rolce Royce. But you never know.

I will run my own charity foundation OUT OF the rental incomes from the income properties. I will try my best not to touch the principal.

If I won the Powerball right now, I'd be paying off my student loans. Then I would go do a week long shopping spree. I'd still buy clothes on sale at Walmart and Shopko. I prefer buying stuff cheap even if I won the powerball.

If I had known people here were so sensitive that they would be annoyed at a new topic then I would have posted in an old one. :/

Anyway if I won I would get a medium house and an average car, even a used car. There's no need to get a huge house or expensive car because it would just draw unneeded attention. Some jealous person could ruin a $300,000 car in an instant. The inside of my house would be very nice though. I'd get very nice carpets and furniture and make it very comfortable and exactly the way I like.

And I'd set aside some money for hungry people or something. Like if I see some homeless person lying somewhere then I'll buy them a nice meal, ect. But I wouldn't give away money to the hordes of people that will suddenly appear after I win the lottery.

Not so annoyed as much as bored.  Sleep

However to put in my 2 cents.....I would definitely have a full time professional assistant, cleaner, and housekeeper/chef for starters.

Would hire a trusted, with excellent references security specialist/driver when needed. All the other trimmings are a given, the estate, imported

luxury sports vehicles...BLAH.....BLAH.....BLAH. Oh and my own private jet of course. Had my flying license in my twenties, let it expire over the years.

Would also like to get my Commercial/IFR/Twin Jet Rating/License then see about getting a used Cessna Citation, or Learjet for jet setting myself

                        and friends across the country.

Would always carry a large wad of $100 bills to hand out for tips/anyone who looks like their in need.

I like this question.  I think how big winners believe they would spend the money can change. I forgot to add a housekeeper/part time to my list.

I'd be happy with a 2 million win so I could stick to my self-employed job vs 2 jobs.White Bounce

Don't take them too seriously, Aust, it's not that they're so sensitive, it's just that folks on the left are genetically predisposed to complain.
