Where I live, you could probably generate enough income off that to pay the bills on a lower middle class lifestyle.  I doubt there would be much left for the fun stuff tho until interest/return rates go up.

it's all about where you live..in Connecticut hell no on 5+0.You can get the house you always wanted and a car and you might as well tuck the rest away for future property taxes

            If a 35 year old hit pb for 2 mil 1,399.500.00 after taxes.would that be enough to stop working or get a part time job and still live comfortable.and what about 5+0 w/o pp?thats about 695,000.00 after taxes.

              No, I went for a lesson a week for one year in Wado and another year or longer in Shotokan. I did nearly two years Practical Taichi Chuan. After that I stopped. I am still reading articles about it and watching vids.

              Judo was big here.

                  Yes i practice kyokushin-kan.under shihan fujiwara here in connecticut usa.are their any similarities.  Between shotokan and kyokushin?i know the katas are pretty similar.i am currently a 2nd degree black belt.

                    If I make a million dollars or 100 million dollars or 10 dollars I probably won't retire until they start digging a hole to put me in.  But I would say if someone hits for 600,000 and they don't want to work anymore, its probably time to move to Bali.  Or some other place equally nice that has an economy where 600,000 is the same as being a multi-millionare.  :)  My retirement plan is to wing it, until I crash and burn.  ;)
