Not to be picky Thrifty, But to change anything 360 degrees would just bring you full circle back to your original starting point.
I think you meant to say 180 degrees, which would be the polar opposite. Or in the case of this new member, to a state of financial independence.
I thought Thrifty was talking about David Edwards who was broke and unemployed when he won a $41 million PB jackpot. Six years later, Edwards was broke and unemployed.

Dear, LP
I am new to this website and I've been working on a system. The only problem I am having is betting style. Anyways, to my topic I was wondering, how many hits per month, would you say defined a Pick 4 System, thats worthy of exploration?. Any, feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
I had some success boxing a two digit pair with 10 other two digit pairs. A 50 cent box bet cost $5 and can win $100 or $200. You only need one hit about every 15 drawings to break even and if you can create a nice system for picking the correct two digit numbers, you can show a small profit.
Not exactly life changing but it's fun and an inexpensive way to play the lottery.

Right now, I am able to get about ten hits a month in the pick 4 game, there is been a lot of times where I have been off just by a number and I am looking to see what is going wrong there. I probably could get even more depending on how well consistent the month is going. But I strive to average 10 plus more. The only problem I guess I am trying to figure out is, if at all I can pin point the win. The only problem is I know I will hit, just cant tell when. I feel like if I work on this, for a specific drawing where I know I will hit I could up the ante to fill in this doughnut whole.
And to my question nobody seem to gave me a specific answere, my question is how many hits in a month, would it take for you to define a pick 4 system?

Depends on what you would constitute a "hit".
Would that be a straight wager (exact order), box 4-way, box 6-way, box 12-way, box 24-way, front pair play, middle pair play, back pair play,
or single digit play?
Every wager of course, has different odds and payoffs. My state pays $5000 for a $1 straight wager, all the way down to just $5 for a single
digit wager.
Speaking for myself, I would be very delighted to score just one "hit" a month for a straight wager of $1.
As you slide down to the lower odd wagers, you should be increasing your frequency of "hits" per month depending on how aggressive you are,
and how much you are willing to spend to achieve your goals with a good pick 4 system.

Its going to depend on the objectives of the person........ a really great "system" FOR ME would be one that can break even most of the time while giving me a chance at a big jackpot that would make all the effort worth while if in fact I hit the JP at some point.

I am new to this site and do not use any system at this time and have trouble understanding the systems in general. I am doing a lot of reading and trying to find ways to improve my hitting percentage which is dismall at this time. My answer to your question is: I would think it depends on how many numbers you play per draw. I would think if you turn a profit of any kind month after month you have a system that works. I would love to hit 10 times a month. On daily 4 I play from $2-$25 each draw and hit $2600 about 2/3 times a year and $100-$200 maybe 10 times a year. If you are hitting that often please share your numbers I am sure many on here would be satisfied with that many hits. Hopefully someone that knows a lot more about systems than me can share more info. good luck

hey chrissy-I have to agree with RonnieH-it definitely depends on how many numbers you are predicting, ie 1, 2, 50 etc, for myself, I'm a budget player so I spend may'be 2 dollars a day on the same number so for me anything more than 2 numbers a draw is going to be excessive, and I don't mind hanging on to a number until it hits, and like someone else said it depends on if its' straight or box, I would be willing to spend maybe 4 dollars a day if a straight hit could be executed in a short amount of time, but for a box hit, i feel the same as already mentioned. Oh also would not mind pair predictions, they only cost 50 cents here in texas and you win 50 dollars so woudn't mind that..

I try not to play no more than 20 numbers. Thats $10 dollars @ .50 cent a number. Sometimes I have less than 20 but it all depends on the number in question to be played based on my system. For example, my selections for tomorrows NJ Midday draw, I only have six numbers. I always strive to maximize my profits by keeping the cost of numbers to be played but the problem with this is that sometimes you skin a little too much off the top so to speak and you wind up filtering out your number.
