Does anyone think since powerball prices went up that megamillions will follow suit? I mean it's only a matter of time  before they see that powerball prices gone up and they are still making money, that it would be benefical for their prices to go up as well? will we be held hostage to pay these higher prices on our lotto like we are everything else?

Everything will go up eventually, that's just economics 101.

Conversely, nothing will ever go back down.

yes, mega millions tickets will go up in price. It might not be this year or the next but it will go up in price eventually. Rising prices are what happens when you take the US dollar off the gold standard. Increasing the money supply is as easy as a few keystrokes and a mouse click at the Federal Reserve. They call it "quantitative easing" but it's just a fancy term for money printing.

I hope not also. But I read on Texas Lottery Commission meeting minutes that the state lottery commissions around the country are really looking into a national lottery. Still don't know if that means PB and MM will be combined, or if it will be a new game altogther. It's still a ways off from happening, but I think it will happen, I guarantee it will cost more than a buck.

The trend right now is states offering new games at a cost of $2. They are doing whatever they can to increase revenue, and they look at all the scratch offs selling for $10, $20, and here in Tx, even $50.

It only makes sense to be greedy and play smarter.

With gravity everything must come back down.

Following that line of thinking all prices of real estate, taxes, autos, gas, groceries, college tuition, and health insurance must all be going down.  What?

If that's the case, we need to start celebrating!!!  Party

There are 175m possible combinations that could come up. The fact that we play and enjoy the vain hope that there's some remote chance that we could win validates that we're already insane. Paying a few more dollars would only be further proof, but certainly not seen as cost prohibitive or a deterrent by any means.

What would you pay for a dream?

That would be called a "collapse" and the left is already celebrating. I call it it a "pre-collapse" party.

175m are the QP odds. People who use intelligent thought get BETTER ODDS.
