Lots of people have been e-mailing me about the California raffle tickets that are being sold to them every time they buy a SuperLotto Plus ticket.

Apparently, the California Lottery held the first raffle drawing on Sunday (and will continue holding a raffle drawing every Sunday until June 16th), but they have not posted the winning numbers anywhere.

In fact, I contacted the California Lottery today, and they confirmed that the results will not be posted on their site until Wednesday, so the only way you can check your raffle ticket is to take it to a self-service ticket machine and scan it.  (And even then, do you really think it's a good idea to trust the machine without seeing a list of the actual winning numbers?)

I cannot convey the strangeness of the California Lottery's actions strongly enough.  They held a drawing on Sunday, but will not publish the winning numbers until Wednesday??

The lady I spoke to at the lottery said the reason was that they are having "problems with the Web site", but upon further inspection, I don't think so.  I think they are deliberately waiting to post the results.

If you check the official rules for the raffle on their Web site, they have a table that shows that the results will always be posted "by" the following Wednesday after the Sunday drawing.

Meanwhile, I'm sure everyone getting these raffle tickets will be scratching their heads wondering where the winning numbers are posted.  It's just plain weird.

I did confirm that there will be a total of 20 winning numbers in each raffle drawing.  Each ticket matching a winning raffle number will be awarded a $500 prize.

I wonder if the winning Raffle numbers will "leak" out somewhere on the web?

Or perhaps the draw took place in a secret chamber that no was witness to?

I was looking at the calottery web site at "Draw Procedures" where they claim "We are committed to fairness and security" But honestly the type is too small for me to read and strangely enough, enlarging the page (what normally works for me) does NOT enlarge the type. lol. lol. lol. LOL

I'll bet that's it.  The longer they wait to post the numbers, the longer they keep use of the money.  Maybe a few days is worth it to them.

Thanks Todd for posting about this. I was going to check my tickets tonight and you saved me the trouble of figuiring out why I couldn't find the results. I agree, it does seem very strange that they are not posting until Wednesday. I wonder if we will ever find out the real story.

It was always in the stars for me to be a lottery winner.

                    Hmmm,

                      So how does it go?

They only send out 20 winning numbers to who and when they want? It infers controlling quick picks.

They search the data base to see what number happened only 20 times? What if more than one number happens only 20 times?

Regardless, number manipulation and control is occurring in some fashion.

It does not bode well for any of California's RNG games or the quick picks that people believe to be generated in a fair way.

I can only suggest that people do not play any of California's RNG games.

If you want to throw or simply give away your money....Please send it to me.

You are a slave to the choices you have made.  jk
