I agree with Dracos--Skeptic that was just a really undeserved, mean comment. I, for one, new or not, appreciate Draco's input in helping me (as a new scratcher, not to mention he is about the only one who responds to my comments and gives me advice so that I'm not making choices that are not "sound"). Even though scratchers are supposed to be random, with enough research and analysis one CAN increase their chances of at least playing the "right" games, (and even certain numbers prove to be winners MOST of the time) but yes it is all about pure, stinking luck. LIFE is about luck. I was surprised at your comment. Dracos is right, this forum is not just for posting "big" wins but also for discussion and I for one, welcome all of y'alls comments. Dracos has been very nice, cordial and his research has been very valuable to all of us, even those who don't post. I wasn't going to post about your comment Skeptic, but I have to admit it was quite a mean one.
I'm also from a low-income family and am going through a literal "hell" right now. A huge win for me would be definitely life-changing. Every time I lose it is almost devastating but I have the fight inside me to continue playing because I personally feel a life-changing win is right around the corner. Hopefully I'm right about that. Never know. You'd never know how it feels if you've never been dirt poor and never won anything (I attribute mine to bad luck and more of a "curse" than anything). I can only imagine how Dracos felt when he won his big prize. He's earned it and he was "due" it. I won't go all "spiritual" (not religious) on here, but the right folks saw his struggles and his hard work and he got what was coming to him.
The length of a post should not matter and should not bother anyone, not sure why that was even brought up. Dracos has never PM me although at times I wish he would :) I think I am playing "cold" games and a lot of my questions on here have gone unanswered by most. I don't mind my posts being ignored, I'll get by.
Bottom line, Skeptic, I don't know you personally, but even I have to admit that was just uncalled for and mean! Dracos has contributed a lot to these forums, I know he has tolerated my endless questions, lol. He earned his prize and he spent it about the way I would have. Not bozing and druggin it up. I can't tell you how many I've stood in line behind at a place where I was getting ready to buy scratchers and saw them cash in and immediately buy a whole carton of cigs, or run and grab multiple cases of beer, not that any of those things are illegal because I smoke, but wasteful in my opinion. I wish each and every one of us (including the lurkers) a big win! We ALL deserve it. He wasn't bragging about his win (did anyone say anything about Adam and his multiple wins??). Dracos is from the same type of circumstances I am so winning a life-changing prize is something for him to "brag about. He's just happy it finally happened to him, especially with all the books he's been able to purchase (lucky people). I can't afford to run amuck and buy up whole books at a time, kind of wish I could but I don't believe that is how one wins a huge jackpot. It is all just dumb luck.
Leave it be....by the way, I lost on my $5 Doubler (ugh, now I see why I hated that game so much). BUT I have hope (that's about all I have) and I feel a big, life-changing prize is coming my way but I hope it comes soon because I'll be moving back to AL where there are no scratch-offs--BUT THERE IS BINGO, LOL! Good luck to all :))
