Tried playing some Super Millions today, and overall "meh" returns. $245/$600, and two books of $345/$600. That's 3 less books to the count, so there should be 103 books left maximum. AK Kwik received a shipment today, and I noticed that 3 of the books they received were from another retailer (Kelly's Kwik Stop), so I do think that alot of these books are being redistributed and recirculated from lower traffic stores which aren't selling them for whatever reason. I'd assume the actual number of Super Millions books left would be closer to 70-80k, considering the bulk of the stores which have it in stock account for around 50 and there's miscellaneous stores across the state with 1 book active. The overwhelming majority of stores listed on the book inventory reports likely don't have it, or once did, but had their books redistributed to the higher traffic retailers within their area.
I bought rolls 729k, 730k, and 733k at AK Kwik in Gainesville. They still have 6 or 7 more rolls. Two are in the 7k range (super old rolls), one 240k (super old), a couple 660k, and a 708k, 712k, and 719k remain. Additionally, the Sunoco on Dean Rd in Orlando has 12 books of Super Millions with at least 8 that are in the jackpot range from 700k up to 733k. Niki Food Store in Oviedo has 8 books, unsure what the book numbers are as I haven't been there in a long time. From the $1800 I spent, I got back $935/$1800, so lost $835.
What I did after was perhaps riskier (and dumber) than buying Super Millions, and resulted in shear luck. I proceeded to recycle that $935 and bought random $25 tickets, roughly 2-4 per roll from random stores around Gville. What did I get back? Exactly $935, although due to these winners. Nothing spectacular, biggest win was $200. The first $100 winner and $200 winner were back to back tickets and only two purchased from that roll. I'd be curious to see more tickets from that roll to see if it were "hot", although I didn't note where I got it from.
Also, the $20 Flamingo game is unorderable and I noticed that Publix no longer carries it in the machines around Gainesville. I wonder, and hope that these were not booted out of the machines to make room for the new $25 World Class Cash. If so, I hope that no large top prizes were destroyed. Retailers have told me they have to follow the display for machines.
Overall, today wasn't too bad I suppose as I took the chance at finding that elusive last $3M jackpot (which likely is a ghost, but yolo...only 100 books left). I then bought a large number of $25 tickets which should have guaranteed a lost, but instead managed to return back to the same value. Now time to use this money toward responsible things.
