Good morning, everyone. Haven't been on here since Dec. 18th, mainly because nothing exciting has been happening. Had, it seems, a four month 'break' from chemo...except for blood work every 3 weeks. Had a Cat-Scan a month or so ago. The lungs are getting no worse while the adreanal glands do show a few hot spots. Resumed a new treatment schedule last week. A different drug only once every two weeks. I can live with that. How long? Don't know, but I consider this a small victory.
Let me quickly address a few posters...
Skepic...on Feb 4, you asked us about our ages. I am sitting at 59, turning 60 the end of October, if I can make it that long. How are Big Jim and Steve doing? Would love to see them joining Lottery Post with photos and stories. Please extend my invitation to them. Hoping YOU get some more nice winners to share with us soon, also. Thanks...
Dracos...on the 5th, you asked how we started. A co-worker at Wal*Mart suddenly found himself in need of transportation. I passed his apartment by a block, and could not think of a good reason why I couldn't help him. I'd take him to the store so he could get his beer and tickets. Id roll my eyes at him, watching him spend 80 to win 35, spending 30 to strike out, ect. But when I saw him get a 500 winner on on some old ticket like Jubilee or B. Blockbuster or whatever, I started to play too. Just 1 and 2 dollar tickets tho. I got my first hundred dollar winner on, I think, a 2.00 Christmas ticket where the numbers were shaped like a tree. The first really good winner came from the old 5.00 Monopoly with the red and green houses on the playing field. Bought the final three...from the final book...and on the final space of the final ticket...I got a car (5X) for 200.00. The rest is dark history, for the most part.
JackpotChasing...Just a late welcome to the forum. I appreciate your photos, stories, and insight. Also, thanks in advance for your celebration party at the Hard Rock. By faith, I hope to meet you...and other posters...in 2017.
Adam...How are you doing? It was on page 222 you mentioned going to friends in Sebring? I have been here about 30 some years. Met my wife at an old KFC restraunt. She was born and raised here. July 4th we will have been married 29 years. If you plan to see your friends again, perhaps you would let me buy you a cup of coffee somewhere. I live 5 minutes from the Village Inn, or MacDonalds or Bgr King across hghy 27. Drop me a p.m. a couple days in advance so I don't have Dr. visits on that day or whatever. It would be an honor to get to meet you. Also, page 383, did you get re-married? Big congratulations on ANOTHER nice jackpot. I am very happy for both of you.
Also, congrats on your latest casino run. 17K must have made for a nice payday. Finally...just wondering...are you an E.M.T.? Service Men and Women, members of Law Enforcement, and anyone who can help save a life are all ranked pretty high in my book.
Well, time for a nap. I'll be back to talk about crappy tickets this year and share a few photos of not so crappy tickets. Best wishes to all...
