It is still around. Less retailers are ordering the game because of competition among the $5 tickets. Quite frankly, the new $5 tickets are vastly superior. Let's compare a couple of them:
$5 Margaritaville
Prize Amount |
Odds of Winning |
$250,000.00 |
1-in-1,512,000 |
$10,000.00 |
1-in-137,455 |
$1,000.00 |
1-in-12,000 |
$500.00 |
1-in-4,000 |
$5 Gold Rush Doubler
$500,000.00 |
1-in-1,200,000 |
$10,000.00 |
1-in-120,000 |
$2,000.00 |
1-in-24,000 |
$1,000.00 |
1-in-10,909 |
$400.00 |
1-in-4,000 |
Although the Escape to Margaritaville has 5/10 prizes remaining, who would play for odds of 1 in 1.5m at winning $250k when you can play a $5 game that is newer (with a second chance) and offers a top prize at $500k with better odds at 1 in 1.2m? Additionally, the lower prize tiers are also better on the Gold Rush Doubler. This is exactly why many retailers are no longer ordering this game. The game is only about 55% sold through I believe, so there's plenty of books remaining, but retailers just aren't requesting them anymore due to competitive. Gold Rush sells much better...
@ Pending - Lmao, I can imagine. I'm sure they're taking your claim very seriously, and were impressed that you had this type of insight.
