Some good replies from a lot of experienced guys here I appreciate it.
@Duckman, Funny you replied first.. Yesterday I decided to start from page 1 on this forum and I saw your winner there early on, that must have been really exciting to hit that, I was really surprised to hear that you only buy one or two tickets here and there, but reading about that style of playing definitely seemed like the best option for my budget as well. I'm sure I can look back in your post history and find out, but do you still play anything? If so is it $10, or 25$ tickets? Thanks for the welcome!
Considering I have a budget of $20-$40 a week (Definitely leaning towards $20), I could simply grab one $25 or $20 ticket a week, which would give me the highest odds compared to the 2$ and 5$ tickets, I'm really leaning towards just doing the "One and Done" on a higher price ticket each week and post results, when my sister comes over for a wine night we can always go buy some smaller ones just for fun. Considering all that I have learned about the book odd's (Which seem like ~1 good book out of 10) it seems like this strategy would give me some chance of winning big for a low cost.
@gatorsrok, Yeah I definitely hear you loud and clearly, I think I have learned my chasing lesson... I felt really good about my first two purchases the other night and truly believed it was a hot roll after I hit that $30 winner, but had serious doubts on going for a 3rd profit, definitely learned that lesson.. fortunately only losing $57, if I hadn't seen so many rolls with multiple low odds winners in here I would definitely not have chased, but I turned that $20 into $30 into $57 then into $2 lol. Thanks for the advice
@dracos, Nice to hear from you, my wife lived in Gainesville for some time, I have to say I like how slow it is compared to Jacksonville, Thank you for the link to those Cashfall books, it looks like there are quite a few left in Jacksonville, but on the other sides of town, I appreciate the info and I'll definitely post my results if I decide to go find some of these.
I definitely hear your words also Dracos on sticking to the budget, I almost feel like I got my chasing fix a few hundred pages ago when you were going absolutely hardcore chasing the super millions towards the end, it was like tuning into a television episode every new page, was awesome.
@EMTAdam, Yes I bet that would be! I may be wrong but I want to say you've won a big Jackpot or two yourself way back, lots of Lucky people are replying I like the energy :)
Overall guys I definitely was looking for some advice and I'm really going to take it, it seems the wise consensus is going to be to stick with that budget and not chase often or at all, which I will not do anymore... fortunately I'm really disciplined, however... due to the fact that I see so many Cashfall books (Potentially) available here in Jacksonville, I may take some extra cash one weekend this month and try and go find some, or maybe explain the risks to my sis and we could go around and split a few.
I'm going to start tomorrow with the "one and done", I'll buy a ticket once a week if it's a $20 or $25, more if lower, I want to try this out for a month or two, and hopefully I'll get a nice picture of a winner to post here.
I do have a question for you guys though, I may not like the answer... Do you guys actually like any of these $20 or $25 tickets? Or any tickets at all right now? So Far I'm 2/4 on the world class cash, but 1/5 on the Gold rush doubler and I honestly have resentment toward the GR tickets anyway, plus they have such a bad rep around here. I know I already asked Duckman this already but I'm definitely interested in finding out what tickets you guys currently like if any and why.
One last thing that I'm trying to figure out, is what tickets may have the best odd's at finding 50k or 100k, which would still be extremely life changing for me, I see a lot of the 2$ tickets have this chance at a very low odds, and the $20 and $25 dollar tickets seem to skip the $50k range and go straight to $1 Mil for the second prize, the $20 Monopoly has $100k but at the same odds as the 1 M, unfortunately it does not look like any scratch tickets have Fantasy 5 like odds of hitting life changing money, but if I'm missing any please let me know.
Thanks for all the input guys, hopefully I can get some more opinions and decide what ticket(s) to buy with my $20-$25 tomorrow and hopefully can post a winner.
Good luck
