Hey Skeptic, thanks for that info. I compared it to the 2nd chance entry info you posted Feb 15th for the mid Feb drawing (page 629), which was of course entirely pre-$30 GRC. It seems like the jump is solidly attributable to the $30 GRC release at the end of Feb. I’m kinda a data junky so if any readers don’t like going through info they can file in the “that’s interesting but who cares” drawer feel free to stop reading now.
So, addressing entries: From the Feb draw, there were 5,697,056 entries among 708,108 tickets. Dividing tickets into entries provides for an average value of $8.05 per ticket entered for that Feb draw. Mid March draw above saw a 50% jump in entries (9,879,727 mid March vs 5,697,056 mid Feb) for an average ticket value of $12.09 ...Everything being equal this is consistent with the average GRC ticket price point increase from before the $30GRC was available to after. To demonstrate, a person buying one of each GRC for the Feb draw would spend $38 ($1+$2+$5+$10+$20), or a mean of $7.60 per ticket ($38/5). An entry covering the full GRC run after release of the $30 ticket would require that person to spend $68 ($1+$2+$5+$10+$20+$30) for a mean of $11.33 per ticket ($68/6); $7.60 increase to $11.33 is +49%.
Addressing ticket count is more simple: Mid-Feb ticket entry count was 708,108, and Mid-March entry count was 817,332, showing a volume increase of 109,224 tickets entered, or +15%. For the Feb entry 5 ticket price points were avail ($1 - $20), and for Mar it was 6 ($1 - $30), with 5 vs 6 +20% (this % is not as close %-wise to the entry percentage above but not far off either).
Of course unknown variables exist, like # of entries earning the bonus and each’s respective price point, and human factors like contestant’s potential tendency to eschew entering low price point tickets like $1 or $2 in favor of larger ones.
Conclusion?...the $30 GRC ticket has likely consistently raised 2nd chance entry totals and overall entry values, appearing thus to be genating solid sales (& losing tickets, which are subsequently entered into the 2nd chance)...or, like said above, “WOW”...good luck everyone!!...lol
