Given that PB did it without consulting the general public, but made the 2nd prize large enough to draw people in. If MM did the same, would you buy into it or feel you being jipped?

People will play even if the game was $5 a piece. Think about it, $20 scratchoffs are not that unusual. Some states have $30 scratchoffs!

Ive heard of $50 scratchers....but yeah people are gonna play, if not for nothing but that little bit of light that might come their way one day

I feel light headed when I buy a losing $10 scratch ticket so I no longer do it. I need courage to stop playing MM & PB and focus on Cash 5

Probably wouldn't change wager, same 1 or 2 liines, but I wouldn't like it. A Gypsy probably wouldn't either.

I feel ripped off every time I buy a PowerBall and I'm sure I'd feel the same if MM was $2. I'd do the same as I do with PowerBall. Cut way back on what I spend, but still buy a ticket for most draws. Gotta be in it to win it.

I'd like to know why it's a given that an increase in price is automatically 100%?

Why can't it be 10% or 25% if one is needed?

Sure, it's easier dealing in whole dollars but we're quite capable of dealing in change too just like we do with everything else we buy.

There is no need for the lotteries to double the price of a ticket.

I would pay the extra dollar for a pool play option, and buy more tickets than I buy now.

It's probably inevitable.

And the lotteries know that "if you build it (offer it) they will come" (play).

How many here on LP swore they were done with PB when it went to $2 and $3, and how many of those same people are like sharks in a feeding frenzy when a jackpot gets pumped up?

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any. So many systems, so many theories, so few jackpot winners.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

Ridge- l doubt they think in dimes or quarters when forecasting increases. We have a few bridges in this area as you well know that have tolls. They have alway raised the prices in dollars, never cents or quarters and l think the same mentality that exists when you deal with the lottery. I have yet to see a $2.60 scrather or anything close- have you?
