"...the machines are very slow and unresponsive."

That's a virus that's prevalent in any man or machine that works for a government agency.

that is true...unless they figure you owe them taxes. Then they deal out punishment swiftly and without fail.

I highlight all the winning numbers on my tickets before I cash them in so I don't need the machine to check them.

Pink, supposedly the terminals can't see shades of red.

Other than signing on the back of a ticket, I wouldn't mark or write anything on a winning ticket.

So you were almost robbed for $2.00 not $2 million as previously thought?

why not? all of the information is on the bar code. I usually cross off numbers that don't match. As long as the bar code is readable the lottery officials can get all the information they need.

Did you read the post at all? I said I knew I only matched the mega number. Why would I think the ticket was worth $2 million for matching the mega number?

yeah, it was only 2 lousy dollars. Who are you Bill Gates? Next thing you're going to tell me is $2 is nothing and you wipe your behind with 100 dollar bills. My point is that the machine isn't 100 percent reliable 100 percent of the time and to check the ticket yourself.

Telling people my experience was only to illustrate the machine can be wrong, the fact that my ticket was only worth $2 is beside the point.

                      Lottery machines? Heh,heh,heh,heh,heh...

They ain't been invented yet as far as East Tennessee is concerned.

I hear they got 'em for the bigshot flatlanders and politicians in Nashville though. Gotta keep them happy, by golly.

The Dragon Lady don't like her no hillbillies.

No lotto machines but i heard the Tooth brush was invented in tennessee.

1:01 am –  Mega Millions: There was no jackpot winner in the Tuesday, April 16, 2013 Mega Millions drawing, but 6 lucky players matched the first 5 numbers for a $250,000 prize: 1 from California, 1 from Maryland, 2 from Ohio, and 2 from Rhode Island.

No need for a lottery machine to " check your ticket" to see if you won the Top prize, LP does it for you....Thumbs Up and you did'nt win it all.

i mean i usually check on line and then the ticket checker before i hand them over to cash in to the clerk, also if i have more than one ticket i make them do one @ a time i don't trust them with any more than one at a time.

anyway i won $15.00 tonight on Quick Draw 6 numbers out of 10Hurray!yeah it was a quick pick

I only sign the winning tickets worth more than $50.  I've used a pink high liter on my tickets for years and never had a problem.
