Central time here, it used to come on at 4:00 P.M., then 3:30, now it's 3:00.

    haymaker,

I don't think it's shown live so that would stop calling with the ????.

If you notice, yesterday's returning champ is often wearing the same clothes, I think they tape maybe aweek's worth of shows at a time.

Interesting comments in this thread about the buzzers not working like they should.

Wonder if they'll ever be a game show with a lottery format or a lottery twist to it somehow.

Yea they tape all 5 shows in one day (they do the shows in blocks) and contestants have the option to supposedly change outfits. I heard from a college friend one time (years ago) who was at a Wheel of Fortune taping and they did 6 shows in one day.

Are a lot of LP'ers fans of TV show Jeopardy ?

seems like not much posting happens when the show is on.

Could be dinner time.  Alex is on at 7 pm.

Or maybe most of LP is off running to the store to get their bets in.

I figure at least 80 percent of Lp are hardcore three numbers players.

I only play now when Jonny be good gives a recommendation.

Of course I dropped the number like a novice and it hit today.

Well there goes my 40 dollar grubstake for the sweet million.Hit With Stick

Of course. Especially the wealthy.  In the 40's, or 50's, sometimes only one family on the block had a tv.  And they all flocked on saturdays to see the fights.  No cable, just one channel.

Having a 13 inch black and white tv in 1940, probably would be like having a 60 inch plasma tv in 2000.

Moving pictures was invented (or discovered) by Thomas Edison, probably around the turn of the century. (if I am not mistaken)

Tough question like that should have been the daily double.

I dont really think there are any real tough questions for contestants.

Did you ever see the movie QUIZ SHOW?

I often watched Jeopardy thinking "boy how does he know so fast?"  He doesn't even need to "strangle" the button.

                          Could be pre-ordained.
