I'm curious how everyone is betting on these pick3 games. Here in NY we can bet Box, Straight, box/straight, combo, 3way, 6way, doubles first2 or last2, and sums. Now I am very new to pick3 and I am not sure how I should do this. So I'm curious what betting strategies others are using. Any help would be great thanks

Hey ReptiJ,

If you're new to the Pick 3 game, always start off small. Place \$.50 box bets when starting out.

When you start winning, use your OPM (others people's money) to place higher bets:

Combos, straights and pairs.

• Straight play, in exact order, pays out \$500.
• Box play, in any order, pays out \$40 (\$.50 bet) for singles and \$80 (\$.50 bet) for doubles.
• \$80 for singles when placing a \$1.00 bet and \$160 for doubles when placing a \$1.00 bet.

In my opinion, only play doubles at \$1.00. You'll see a decent return. It's the best option.

---------------------------

Here's a method I learned from lady C:

When there's a double, for example, 551, create new doubles by using the other odd pairs.

What this means is: 551 becomes ---> 11x 33x 55x 77x 99

Just some tips I thought of.

Good luck!

So you don't use the straight/box bet? Seems as though its a nice way to hedge you bet cause you'll win even if your numbers don't come in straight even though the payout is lower.
