"Is it possible someone will hit the Mega Millions...?"

Is it possible that someone will win the Jackpot?

    Yes, absolutely.

It's also possible that the line of fat guys in front of you at the Chinese Buffet ain't gonna take all the shrimp out of the Ching Chong Charlie dish.

    But don't bet the ranch.

Prior to the matrix change MM paid out 10 to 12 jakcpots a year.

It will be interesting to see how many are hit over the first 12 months since the change, and every year afterwards.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

        Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

Anything is possible.  This could go on into next year before one ticket wins.

The Black Friday MM $230 million jackpot ticket sales were lower than on Tuesday's $205 million jackpot and the PB sales on 11/27 were lower than on 11/23 with a slightly higher jackpot. It wasn't like a 5/39 game with lots of jackpot winners before the change and one jackpot winner out of every nine drawings wasn't guaranteed either.

Every drawing had 175 million possible outcomes before the change; how many of those chances needed to be in play to have a reasonable chance of a jackpot winning ticket?
