10 million that's a lot of money. 1 million I could work with that. Log cabin, fire in the fire place, hot cup of coffee, deer in the yard. I could do 1 million.

Here in the states about $50,000-$75,000 base on interest rate of .5 or .75

In other countries like Australia according to one of the earlier post $400,000 based on a 4% rate.

I will be happy to win any jackpot game. It isn't how much you win. It's what you do with the money that makes the diffrence.

I hear alot of people talking about a 1 billion dollar mega millions pot.  But, what would make you happy, how much money would make you happy?  Me, after giving my family money, I would be happy with 10 millions dollars to retire on.

            10,000,000 - 3,000,000 dollar house = 7,000,000

            cars, house stuff ($300,000), house taxes per/year ($1,230,000) - 7,000,000 = 5,470,000

$5,470,000 / 41 years = $133,415.00 a year budget with hardly no bills.  Would this make you happy or would you need more?

I would be happy with six bucks.

Especially if I was drunk and at 7-11.

I would be happy with a cup of coffee and a crepe with orange marmalade.

Can US citizens open a savings accounts there?  I assume there must be some sort of a residenccy requirement.

I would be happy with powerball's second prize tonight of a $1 million because I could be debt free.  Plus I would pay off my mothers debt too.  Then buy her a new car and a nice one at that.  Still have money in the bank after all of that so I could not complain.-weshar75

You sure can. You do have to report the interest earned as Mob Boss Uncle Sam always wants his cut.
