Don’t do it…………you’ll have better satisfaction 1) if you take them outside and pissed on them and then

2)Put them in a bag take them to your bank and then open account and put them in a Roth I R A retirement plan.

      1)is for immediate satisfaction

      2)is for long term satisfaction

Tossing them into their pockets is exactly what these morons (Lottery officials) want you to do. Don’t pay attention to the media this includes Lp.

It’s hard but you can do it, it’s tempting I know……..but if you are a smoker never mind.

So far I have not put a penny on this Mega crap since they changed to the new format…….and don’t give me that story that you have to be in it to win it, this way of thinking is how it got us to the new format, I don’t live in the cloud lol…….just my files.

Just say no to the ridicules odds.

BOYCOTT MEGA MILLIONS AND  POWERBALL GAMES YESTERDAY!

      Nope not even a dollar!!!!!!!!!!

I dont see how you could get much satisfaction from pissing on silver coins.

Now perhaps If you started stuffing them up your butt instead, that might be satisifying.

Remember NBA player who spent $10,000 on tickets for the $640 Mega Millions jackpot in 2012. Guess what happen? He did not win!

Not only is it us everyday folk who are jumping on the record-breaking $640 million lottery pot, sports stars, like Chris Singleton, a Washington Wizards rookie, wants a chance at the major prize too. But he kind of has an advantage, as he has $10,000 to blow on lottery tickets.

See? Athletes, they're just like us ...? Kind of makes a $10 pool at work seem pathetic, doesn't it.

I'm sure you, like the rest of the world, have played the "What Would I Do if I Won the Lottery" game. And to win $640 million, well ... that's just an obscene amount of money. Mind-blowing. The stuff fantasies are made of. But is it kind of sad that I'm hoping someone like Singleton doesn't win the big bucks?

If you want to know, Singleton's salary for 2012 is a measly (compared to $640 million, I guess) $1,485,000. Sports stars, already making millions playing a game they love, dropping five figures on lottery tickets to take the chances away from us 9-5'ers ticks me off a little bit.

I know, I know -- certainly Singleton has every right to spend his money how he sees fit and invest some of that salary so he doesn't have to play a game of basketball ever again. I'm sure he plays the "What Would I Do if I Won the Lottery" game too, and he's not the only athlete tweeting about picking up some tickets. But needless to say, I'm not going to be all that pleased if it's him who wins.

It always makes me feel good to see some everyday person with a 9-5 job and five kids to feed who had nothing but a hope and a prayer and $5 extra to spend win the big prize. I hope it's someone we've never heard of who is super-appreciative and can give back to his or her loved ones and community, not a sports star who can afford to blow $10,000 on lotto tickets.

Then again, I'm also really hoping it's one of my very generous friends or family members

Well if he is going to spend that much, he might as well spend 15,000 dollars and play every mega ball 1000 times.

Thats not a bad investment.  He could quick pick the rest or do a Ilysak Bluskov wheel.

Or he could start a poolie team at his job.  Fifteen people 1 thousand bucks each.

When the lottery first  came to  Ky.  years  ago  ,  I had  a  friend  that  bought  3000  tickets  one  draw..............another time he bought 5000 and yet another time  thirty five  hundred

He wrote all the numbers down in a big notebook each time , and when I would  drop by his store on Sunday  , they would be checking those tickets and  it would  take  them  all  morning  and  most   the   afternoon

He just thought for sure each time  that he would win the Jackpot ( heck........how  could  he  miss.......right   ???  )

He won some money  back , but never played at a profit any of those times

And even though the game was  Great odds  back  then  also , they still  were a  lot less odds  than  games  are  today

He  quit  buying  large  amounts  soon  after  a  few  times  of   that

I have seen people at casino's do the same thing many times..........and  try  and  " buy "   a  Jackpot

My advice on your  1200.00    ......   fold it and put it back in your pocket

Or maybe just a few dollars  of  it  on  the draw

But  its  your  money  ,  so  do  whatever  you  want  with  it

Good  Luck   to   you    ,   whatever  you  decide

Im trading in the silver coins I have been saving and buying 1200 Maga tickets. I think my chances of winning will be better than anyone elses because I will have so many tickets.

                    Photo

First off I would never trade precious metal in for something that wasnt a need, but if your heck bent on doing it at least pick each and every different mega ball (1-15) at least twice and let the computer do all you quick picks so you will at least win the mega ball 26 times...good luck to you, cant say i hope you win because I got a couple horses in this race as well LOL

Logistically, you CANNOT buy 2.5 million tickets.  So you better do it with a pool of 13 numbers and one BONKO number.

You would have BETTER odds to do 600 tickets this draw, and P.I.A. the SAME 600 lines the next draw.

                      That would IMPROVE YOUR ODDS.

Your chances are slightly better than my $5 dollars that i purchased yesterday in tix.   Only because you will definitely hit the mega ball probably a few times.  Otherwise everyone else on Lottery Post is just as much in the running.

It would be wise to pool your money with someone else willing to contribute a decent amount.   You want to improve your odds.

Yeah and when you get the winning ticket tonight please post it on the forum labelled show your winning tix here!

His odds of winning the jackpot would be better putting all 1200 on one drawing, not 600 on each. But only slightly.

                          Here's the math:

                          258,890,850/600 = ~ 431,485 (odds)

                          1/431,485 = 0.000002317579011 (probability of winning)

(1-0.000002317579011)^2 = 0.999995364847350 (probability of losing either of 2 draws)

(1-0.999995364847350) = 0.000004635152650 (probability of winning at least once, Rule of Compliments)

                          vs.

                          258,890,850/1200 = ~ 215,742 (odds)

(unnecessary to do the whole rule of compliments here since it's only 1 draw)

                          1/215,742 = 0.000004635158021 (probability of winning)

Of course, playing multiple drawings gives a miniscule chance of winning more than once; however, since the ultimate goal is to hit A jackpot and be set for life we assume we want to maximize the probability of winning at least once.

Notice in this case the difference isn't significant until the 12th digit. Basically not worth the time or money. On smaller games the difference can be huge.

Personally, I would rather play 1200 on a local game that has 1 in 435K odds.....that would give me a chance of tens of thousands (hundreds of thousands in some states with rolling jackpots) at odds of 1 in 360 or so....or at least on scratchers which have a guaranteed payback. Or better yet go to a casino and bet on red for a ~47% chance of doubling your money.

If the chances of winning the jackpot are so slim, why play when the jackpot is so small? Your chances never change, but the potential payoff does.
If a crystal ball showed you the future of the rest of your life, and in that future you will never win a jackpot, would you still play?

You aren't the only one investing such a large sum on tonight drawing.  This morning I saw a guy buying $500 worth or MM tickets and he claimed he did the same thing at two other stores yesterday.  This size jackpot brings out the big spenders.  Good luck to them all.
