Thanks for the link. The GA Lottery (or the VA Lottery, for that matter) has not issued a press release about it. I wish they would be less secretive about these things.

The VA Lottery does not have any information on their site about this, at least that I can find. So maybe it will become a VA-only game? Or maybe they are canceling the entire game -- they don't say.

I have reached out to the Virginia Lottery to find out. Since it's the weekend I'm not expecting a reply until Monday, but as soon as I hear back I'll post an update here.

If my memory serves me correct

I am thinking when this game first came out , Kentucky was in on it also

Kentucky Georgia Virginia

In fact , the first winner in the game was in Mt. Sterling ( or Morehead , Ky. ) I cant remember which city it was of the two ( but I am thinking maybe it was Mt. Sterling , Ky. )

Both just a few counties up from where I live

It was a girl that won the 1000 a week for life ( and her Mother had bought her the ticket and gave it to her I think )

Then there was another top winner in Ky. somewhere along the way

And another time ( I am thinking there was a woman from Indiana that was traveling ) , and crossed over into Ky. , and played at Petersburg , Ky. , then went back to Indiana to continue her trip further south ) She bought 20.00 worth of tickets I think. And won the 1000 a week for life top prize . I remember it , as I was by Petersburg , Ky. that very weekend , on I - 275 West , and I had stopped and played at the Shell gas station where she won , quite often before , but of course didnt stop that week-end , and seen it on the news when I got back home later

Then there was a second place winner ( 1000 a week for a year ) here in Maysville

But then most the winners in the game were either usually from Ga. or Va. after that

Then Ky. dropped the game a couple years later I think ( and I really didnt know that Ga. and VA. still had it , till I read this thread ) as I just took for granted , that they dropped it also when Ky. did )

I am pretty sure it was the same game , as it had the same Logo

I kinda liked the game and won 90.00 on it I think it was , using one of Bob P. small wheels one time , and missed the 1000 a week for a year ( by one position of one of the numbers I placed in the wheel )

Ky. went to Decades Of Dollars ( after dropping the Win For Life game I think ) but I quit them after that , as Decades was 2.00 a ticket with more odds ) , even though I did have a friend here in town , that won 10,000.00 on the Decades game I think it was ( but he was an extremely heavy player )

I always thought all three states were in the Win For Life game together ( as they used to list the winners in any of the three states at the time back then ) if I remember correct

But maybe it was just the same game , confined to each separate state , but I never was really sure , how all that worked back then ( between the states )

I love this game and got 3 of 6 again on 5 tickets! This is the only game I ever buy multiple tickets for now (2-5 tickets)since I gave up MM and don't play Decades of dollars all the time. I did not know Kentucky gave up the game.

Correction. I had the extra ball as well so I think I won $30 x 5 for $150. This is the most I ever won. I had 1-11-14-16-26-33. I may have to post a pic of this ticket.

PS: They also changed the number of winning tickets you can have for the JP. It used to be up to 5, now it is 2 max. for a max prize of 2 million if you take the lump sum vs the annuity. This is new info.

*Top-prize winners in Win for Life can select the annuity of $1,000 per week for life or a one-time cash option of $1 million. In a drawing, if there are more than 2 lifetime winners or if the prize liability for the lifetime prize exceeds $2,000,000 (whatever is greater), the lifetime prize shall be paid on a pari-mutuel basis.

I heard back from the VA Lottery today.

Win For Life is in fact continuing as a Virginia-only game, with the first Virginia-only drawing taking place on Wednesday, Feb. 26.

There are no changes being made to the game itself, but the Virginia Lottery is adding a $1 million lump-sum cash payout option for jackpot winners. (Or they can take the $1,000 per week for life payout, as before.)

Virginia has had 44 lifetime winners in Win for Life since the first drawing on March 1, 2006.
