This worked out great for Douglas Winter!

If the chances of winning the jackpot are so slim, why play when the jackpot is so small? Your chances never change, but the potential payoff does.
If a crystal ball showed you the future of the rest of your life, and in that future you will never win a jackpot, would you still play?

For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world but lose his own soul?

    Roger that, getmoney007.  Thumbs Up

No, but the better question is does the devil really have to bother with such a deal when it's easy enough to just sit back and let people freely hand their soul over these days? There is  soo much hate, vengeance and rage running through the core of people's daily thought processes that over time they become empty, bitter and soulless. Little by little, they are already handing over their soul. A person can't walk with God while running with the devil...your either one or the other at any given point in time.

Like adding charcoal to embers or wood to fire, quarrelsome people kindle strife."

Just for fun, without getting into a theological debate about the existence of the Devil or not. Here's a 70's Rock Star themed poll. Would you sell your soul to the Devil to win the lottery?

No such thing as a devil.

How can I bet on something I don't believe in? It's not even a remote option.

You can't bet your life that something doesn't exist?

                        Why not?

No, because I don't even consider it as a possibility. There's nothing to compare to.

Sounds like it would be a sure bet then.

If it's not a possibility, you couldn't lose.

No, not a sure bet, nothing of the kind. In fact, there would be no bet because there would be no wager on my part in the first place.
