I'd pay $20K debt, rent a 2 bedroom house/apartment for me, girlfriend and my 6 yr old daughter, put a re-built motor in my car, buy gf a new car, set aside/invest/Idon'tknow $100k towards my daughter's education, get some molar teeth extracted/implanted, and get my startup off the ground once and for all.

Oh man, we better win some more.

I got a 1.75 Liter right here and the price tag is $42.99 and then you gotta add tax.

Might have to get a fifth.

That's what I was thinking;  I'm pretty much sloshin' after a half pint/200 ml. (two stiff mixed drinks f/ most people I know)  I always liked the green label better, but then again, I'm a wuss, at least when it comes to holding my liquor.  I really prefer vodka, it doesn't raise my blood sugar like whiskey/rum/tequila do.

I worked in a liquor store while going back to school in the early 90's;  I now buy my lottery tickets at another liquor store and sometimes just walk around and shake my head at how much booze has gone up since then, esp. whiskey and most esp. tequila.   Back around 2000, I read that the agave crop was really bad that yr. in Mexico, so I bought six bottles of Padron tequila, not the best but a premium brand. I paid less than 20 bucks/bottle, now it's over 40.  I gave 4 bttls.  away for Christmas presents and still have half a bottle and one full one left.  That oughta let you know how much I drink.  I threw away some beer the other day that had been in the fridge for a yr., four bottles out of a six pack.

I would help the family and focus more on winning a big jackpot to buy a home in San Diego.

Let say you just won a scratch off (or 5/6 lotto) with a top prize of a million dollars.

Assume that after taxes you get $610,000 or something similar to that.

              --------------

Would you buy a home for yourself or a loved one?

Start up a business?  Save it for a rainy day?

Do you even have a plan?

Would it be enough in the area you live in to live off of? What' your age?

If you do buy a home, car, etc how much would you spend on each?

Example: I'd get a 200k home cash, and a new 2014 Hyundai Elantra worth $17,200, blah blah in North Dakota it can go pretty far at 77yrs old.

I would invest it in exchange traded funds indexes.

                      Good person you are.

I think I would provide a good house for my mum, dad and sister. Get rid of my debt, start a business, travel. Helping others would also be on the plate.

A lot less worry and stress would result from that.

Pay off all debts, build my dream house, buy another single family rental house and bank the rest.
