After reading the entire article, I'm not terribly impressed. Her strategy of buying up as many as she could wasn't original or 'deep'.
The article stated that all the big wins occurred in or near her small hometown in Texas, so she clearly benefited from the fact that the Texas Lottery either knowingly or unknowingly sent multiple million dollar+ scratch cards into her area. She and her partner were apparently purchasing cards by the roll, most likely snapping them up as soon as they came in at area retailers.
If her wins had occurred in a wider geographical area, such as four different cities distant from each other, this would indeed be impressive and miraculous.
