Drenick1,
Catching up with the posts in the Discussion Forum recently, I came across your post regarding
your back testing experiment. That was a formidable undertaking. Personally, I might have gone into cardiac arrest at the completion of such a revealing review of the lotteries. Fortunately, your life priorities, and
maybe your financial situation did not allow you to invest that much time and cash over seven years.
Maybe, there would have been some limited tax relief for such a loosing investment estimating $203K.
Hopefully, your analytical abilities will be applied in the future in researching likely winning
numbers. Now you have many of us re-thinking our strategies....lol.
Good Luck, thanks for sharing.

I realize what the odds are which is why I only randomly play when the jackpot exceeds $100 million. I was just curious to see if any of those tickets returned a 5+0 winner. All this did was just validate my belief that purchasing an excessive amount of tickets each and every draw was a complete waste of money.

I will stick to just purchasing a ticket or two when the PB jackpot exceeds $100 million. I don't purchase any MM tickets until it  goes over $150 million. I am not delusional in expecting to win a major jackpot but I do enjoy participating strictly for entertainment purposes when the jackpot reaches a certain threshold.

Even spending a couple bucks on a ticket,  and or  full ticket is a complete waste of money.

Was it a waste of money for the person in Colorado that won, or the person in Puerto Rico. How about the one in Illinois...Florida...Texas...or anywhere there was a winner. Even a second prize winner. Dropping 1 dollar, or 2 dollars is a waste of money if someone wins a million dollar second prize?

Yeah, for you it is. You got bad karma.

...'just arrived from Japan when I bought the ticket. I might not be playing for a while because I'm leaving for Paris. I hope by the time I come back the JP is worth playing. Wink

That's a $10,000 winner without the power play. Congrats!!

My best was 3+1 for $150.  4+1 is what I'm chasing.

              That money's gone fo ever

I too have always wondered about all those tickets that have crossed my path. I don't keep them after confirming they're losers but most likely they would've amounted to nothing
