Don't sit out this Powerball drawing hoping for a bigger jackpot because if you do, you'll be very disappointed. Mega Millions was won last night, so that means "The Fix" will be in. If you don't know what "The Fix" is, it's a conspiracy to keep lottery jackpots as low as possible at all times. There is a 99.99999999% chance there will be a Powerball jackpot winner tonight. "The Fix" follows trends too, so the numbers chosen in tonight's drawing have a very high probability of being birthday numbers.

Play birthday numbers tonight & buy tickets in Illinois if at all possible to increase your chances of winning. My lottery guru/advisor has passed this wisdom down to me and has told me to pass this advice on, & that it would be a good thing if I did.

          Perhaps it's Richard Lustig?

Hope you aren't paying your guru--he's ripping you off big time. Chair

It's a statue of an Indian chief and a fox that's near where I usually buy tickets.  They've recently began speaking to me & giving me lottery advice.  Sometimes the Indian will talk and at other times it's the Fox.  I think the Fox makes more sense most of the time.  He tells me I will win if I persist and follow trends!  He also told me to share advice with LP, but to laugh at you all even if I win just $1 lol.  He just told me birthday numbers can't lose, go play them!

Either JJ is a troll or in a serious need of meds.

The scary truth is, both of them might be equally possible.

For a Powerball jackpot of $188M, I put the probability of there being a winner at 12.5%(±1).

MUSL has projected 10.5% chance of winner tonight and jackpot will roll to $211 million if no hit.

If the chances of winning the jackpot are so slim, why play when the jackpot is so small? Your chances never change, but the potential payoff does.
If a crystal ball showed you the future of the rest of your life, and in that future you will never win a jackpot, would you still play?

I don't see why anyone would buy non-New-York or non-California tickets.

Fun fact: the probability that there will be at least one winner, and the probability of multiple winners in the event that there is at least one, are exactly* the same. For a jackpot of $300M, that's right around 20%.

*Well, not quite exactly. The difference is less than a millionth of a percentage point.
