First of all:
Saturday Evening 09/05/15 - 5 9 9 2 was added to Group 481.
Saturday Night 09/05/15 - 6 2 1 8 was added to Group 448.
There are formulas hidden in columns J thru M which tells me the total of matches in the TOT column. This tells me how many matches I have on each line with the numbers I entered on the top of the spreadsheet "Enter Number = " What I am doing here is comparing whatever numbers I entered in the " Enter Numbers = " at the top against all the individual drawings listed below in the spreadsheet in the TOT column.
There are formulas in the SUM column which just totals the sum of the 4 digit numbers of the actual drawing per line.
If you look at the current file, you will see that I entered 6 2 1 8 in the Enter Number = field at the top of the page.
At the bottom of the current file, you will see that I added the last 2 drawings at the bottom of the spreadsheet with the last drawing being 6 2 1 8.
After this is completed, I sort the spreadsheet by highlighting the sort area B5..Q2500. - This should take in all the Data from the 1 drawing date to the last drawing date to the Hits column at the bottom or Q2500. I then go to the A_Z Sort/Filter on the Top of the Spreadsheet. Click on that. Then go to Custom Sort. Click on that. Go to where it states "ADD Column " Click on that item 7 Seven Times. You will see 7 lines open up. Go to the Top Line - Open up the first Column Line & select Column O, on the 2nd line - Open that up & select Column N, on the 3 rd line - Open that up & select Column H, for the 4th line select Column D, Next Line - Select Column E, Next Line - Select Column F, & on the Last Line - Select Column G. In the Sort on Field - they should all have "Value" in that field. In the Order field only the first line should read " Largest to Smallest" The following 6 lines should read " Smallest to Largest.".
It should look something like this
Column O Value Largest to Smallest
Column N Value Smallest to Largest
Column H Value Smallest to Largest
Column D Value Smallest to Largest
Column E Value Smallest to Largest
Column F Value Smallest to Largest
Column G Value Smallest to Largest
If this is what it looks like, Click on OK. Your spreadsheet should be sorted the columns in the sequence above. Note: All the Lines in Column O should start with the Number 4 followed by the Number 3 than 2 than 1 then 0. If it doesn't look right just go back into the Sort/filter & resort it a 2nd time. All your Sort columns Value & Order should still be there from before - Just Hit OK again. Microsoft has a little problem here. I notice I have to do this 2x every now & then. But never more than 2 times. After the Sort, Col O should be Largest to Smallest ( 4 - 0 / Matches). Col N should be smallest to Largest ( 36 - 0/ Sum of the 4 numbers drawn). In this case the Enter Number = 6 2 1 8 with the sum of 17 in column N. What you want to next is page down - You will be looking for a 4 in Col O & the number 17 in Col N. With any Luck, you should find the date 09/05/15 with the draw 6 2 1 8 . This is where I update & put in my Group # (in this case 448) & increase the number of HITS by "1" for each line in Group 448 because I just add another line to the Group.
If you get this far you are doing pretty good.
You can have Multiple Groups with the same SUM #, this is where you have to find which Group to put an item it.
If you do not understand excel, it would be best to ask a friend for help.
Basically what I am doing is adding the new draws to the bottom of my Data Base & entering the same number at the top of the Spread Sheet. By going the sort, it will compare the number I entered into the Enter Number = @ the top of the spreadsheet & compare that number with every other number in my spreadsheet for matches no matter what order the numbers are in ( 1 2 3 4), (2 1 4 3), (4 3 1 2) etc etc etc.
When I want to resort the spreadsheet back to the original form, I highlight my range, I then go to the A-Z Sort/Filter at the top of the spreadsheet. - Custom Sort - Choose What columns I want sorted & the order of the sort & hit OK
I hope this is easy to follow. I hide the columns of J thru M with the formulas, as I don't need to see them.
