Now that it's headlines in the world news that Volkswagen manipulated the on-board computer system in regards to diesel emissions could the lottery numbers generated by the RNG'S be too far behind ???

Sometimes it's extremely difficult if not practically impossible to get people to disregard the smoke and mirrors.  Instead, they seem to enjoy the ride down the proverbial Garden Path....... helpless to extricate themselves from being totally deceived by known forces in their midst who would argue that they have come here for the sole purpose of helping people.......str8ca$hhomie

It could be happening already ... the guy that was arrested in Iowa. I just took the headline from a news article.

"Lottery security chief who won $14m is accused of hacking number machine to pick his ticket" ... and who can be sure there hasn't been hacking from outside the system to win money.

The Federal Government is a total failure against hackers from other countries ... so why not a state lottery?

Hacking random number generators is actually very easy to do, and hackers know this.

Speaking of hacking ... this headline is breaking now ... our good old Federal Government, let's just be thankful they don't run any lottery games.

"Feds acknowledge more than 5M fingerprints stolen in breach, far more than thought"

There's no hope for the lottery player and digital numbers.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but random number generators are in fact easily programmable.  The best place to view this is in casinos.  All video slots, poker, etc. now use RNG's.  These run constantly and when money is inserted freeze upon the selection at that precise moment in time.  However, casinos can, and legally do, program varying odds into the RNG's.  This is displayed as payout percentages.  So, even with extreme levels of security measures in place, RNG's can be manipulated, if they are programmed to do so, just as some internal security measures are programmed within.  After all, the output of all computers is managed by codes... codes written by a developer telling the computer what actions to perform and how to execute those actions.

Of course the possibility exists that I am way off base and do not know what I am talking about.  Or was I just pre-programmed to say that in an attempt to throw off unsuspecting players, as an internal security measure, if a question about RNG's was entered into the profile.

          No Nod

I'm feeling a jackpot win coming my way!

Making news again this a.m. Volkswagen engineers confessed to installing a sophisticated software algorithm in the engine-control module. It could sense when the vehicles on the emission-test cycle and when normal everyday driving occurred. How clever !

                Yup !

It used the steering system to determine whether or not the car was really being driven.
