      Last night my '99 Infiniti G20 died on me. It had been giving me fits for awhile. I had it towed to a Nissan dealership where I usually have my car worked on. Because of the time frame that it most likely would have taken to get it fixed, and the nature of the trucking industry, I had to buy another car. I got a brand new 2015 Nissan Sentra. With my $6,000 down payment, it set me back $16,200 with trade in. I have some money stored away. So, I plan to pay most of it off and just deal with the payments for the rest. I'll have it paid off before 2017. I may have to cut back on playing state lottery games. Play 1 line maybe. That was my day today.

      May the balls bounce in your favor!

        I still plan on winning in 2015.   But I'll keep playing, so maybe another win in 2016 too.

          "live of interests"? do you mean to live off interests? Like from bank deposits, certificates of deposit CD, etc.

            Yea, GOOD luck with 'Live off of interest' - until the FED increases the fed funds rate you would need to own stocks that pay a good dividend to do that.  Unless you hit a LARGE/HUGE jackpot.

              My plan for 2016 is to keep buying  lotto tickets, like every other year. My hope is, I dont need to go ahead with the plan.

              2014 = -1016; 2015= -1409; 2016  = -1171; 2017 = ?  TOT =  -3596

              keno historic = -2291 ; 2015= -603; 2016= -424; 2017 = ? TOT = - 3318

                My plans are to win $250,000 in our all or nothing game...if you get 12 of 12 numbers right or all 12 wrong you win that much...when the game first came out I didn't like it but now just play one or two at the time for fun & am doing better.

                ...got 10 of 12 today for $50 & one not long ago...if I can get 10 of 12 I can get 12 of 12 right so going to keep playing until I do...I see some have already won it.

                    What are my plans... to collect on a MM/PB win, and then later in the year to collect on a top prize scratch ticket win.

                    Now... reality?  it might be in 2017.  But definitely one of those 2.  Crazy

                        Two words: Municipal bonds.

                        Muni's can be a good investment for individuals in the high tax brackets, such as a jackpot lottery winner.  There is not federal tax on the interest.  Also no state tax if issued by the state residing in.  Keep in mind though, they can default (Look at Detroit), so it may be wise to not put all the eggs in one muni basket.  Overall though, I think the default rate on municipal bonds is pretty low.

                          I'm feeling a jackpot win coming my way!
