This thread should be enough evidence for people to stop playing scratch offs .

    LOL..

You cant win if you don't play =).

I won $400 in Jan last year- a few $100's, lots of 50's and $1000 on a $2 ticket in August.

LOL! But the reality is, is that unless you hit that jackpot, hell. EVEN IF you hit the jackpot, you'd still be in the negatives. I can almost guarantee 99% of the people here are FAR into the negatives.

I only play the new scratch offs on the 1rst Tuesday of each month in NC.   Usually lose a little because I always let my wins ride on new cards.   Last week I bought 50.00 worth and won about 75.00.  Of course I gave the extra 25.00 right back.  Biggest hit on a scratchy is 500.00 that I have hit 2-3 times.

Your statement is not accurate! Your odds of winning on a scratch off ticket are 1 in 4 and compare that to the lotto which is 1 in millions! All you need is one decent size win and your more then ahead. Just go look at the posts on Pick 3 or 4 and how they are spending $60 or $120 etc EACH WEEK or daily to buy tons of tickets that are losers! In Lotto games your playing all for one prize and if you lose then you lose it all and in scratch of games you can still win small prizes even if you don't win the big prize. Most people blow $20 on dinner and don't win a prize in return so I dont see it as a loss because its a small amount of money you would have wasted on anything else that would not give you a return. The best way I win is to go to lotto crawler and it shows me the highest percentage of the remaining tickets left for the scratchers and then I only play those games.
