If you play, maybe these states would be your best bet!

States where lottery winners could remain anonymous

Currently six states — Delaware, Kansas, Maryland, North Dakota, Ohio and South Carolina — allow lottery winners to remain anonymous. And four more — Colorado, Connecticut, Vermont andMassachusetts — allow anonymity if the winners claim their winnings through a trust.

Can you buy a ticket from another state without having to travel to it?

Unfortunately not for Powerball, but you can for the Massachusetts lottery's Megabucks Doubler game. It is the only game available across the country by subscription. Hopefully, other state lotteries will offer similar subscription services in the future.

If you live in a state that doesn't allow winners to remain anonymous, please contact your state lottery and ask that they review their policy.

I'd definitely try to play in Delaware, anonymity, no state tax and the capitol of LLCs.

Sadly, the Delaware Lottery doesn't offer a subscription service, yet!

I know, they should though, they'd make a mint from out of state purchasers and put pressure on non-anonymous states!

The best states to play are the states that don't tax lottery winnings.

                  No Tax > anonymity

Delaware's version of anonymity is taking your picture while you are holding up a big smiley face on a paddle in front of you. Would be smart to wear very plain clothes.

It's depicted somewhere in the archives here on LP.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

                          Thanks for that!

If I win a lottery, can I remain anonymous?
We will honor requests for anonymity from winners. However, we certainly hope winners will allow us to share their names and good news with other players.

A state with both anonymous + No income/lotto tax is THE best.

Looks like Delaware and Wyoming are good bets.
